How about red and black and white damask. Or peacock them.

Damask is an amazing accent! It goes with every color!  I’m doing Hot pink and damask to pull together a classy look with a more modern, chic feel to it.  If the pink is too girly πŸ™‚ you could always use callas they are very classic.  Are you having bridesmaids? If so, they could carry a bouquet of white callas and you could carry “black” callas (they are actually VERY dark red – gorgous!!) They would be a fairly simple flower to order online through a flower wholesaler and put them together yourself.  If you wanted to add a little bit of flare to the bouquet(s) you could always add a few black feathers! Check out the pictures below! πŸ™‚

Black callas:

Damask print with red flower

There are MANY different damask prints out there – you just have to choose which one you like! check out Everythingdamask.com The name says it all! You can find anything and everything in many different damask prints.  This is a great “not-so-girly-theme” that everyone would love!

Another way to get inspiration is google red and damask weddings – you will get some great pictures!

Hope this helps! Happy planning and good luck! Keep us all posted on what you decide to do! I’m curious! πŸ™‚

You could do a mixed bouquet that would look pretty too!.  I’m not sure if it would work with callas because of their shape but roses, peonies, carnations, etc you could.  I found this picture and I think it’s gorgous!

Found one more I liked πŸ™‚

And Even if you do carry a brooch bouquet damask will still look amazing with it! That’s the beauty of it – it goes with anything!

@missmarchmommy: How about these ideas since you mentioned that your hubby’s favorite colors are red and blue. I think you can pull off the colors if it was a spring or summer wedding, I believe.

If you don’t like the colors then my suggestion for a theme would be maybe vintage/modern.

@missmarchmommy: ME TOO! I’ve seen some brooch bouquets that are a little too … random (maybe?) for me.  If you choose that, I would try to find something consistant when putting it together – all pearls/diamonds, or all 1 color with slight variations, or a mix of your color with some diamonds… but I wouldn’t mix a bunch of colors and styles of brooches together – that looks too “mish moshy” to me.  Like it was thrown together at the last minute! πŸ™‚

@msfuturea: I’ve always associated Red white and blue with the flag and the 4th.  However, I l LOVE the idea of navy and cranberry with white.  It’s beautiful! I esp like th red tulips as a bouquet if it’s a summer wedding.  It would also look nice for an out door wedding – nice contrast against green grass and the red ginham/plaid kinda reminds me of a picnic! Depending on what you want to do as your reception you could totally pull that off!

@muzikfreek13: I completely agree with you! Cranberry, blue, and white would looke awesome at an outdoor reception especially since it’s in September. I decided to post those pics since Missmarchmommy’s Fiance likes red and blue. Honestly, I think they could totally pull it off and there can be a potential of DIY projects.

I think the navy, white and cranberry look a little too “patriotic”  I would go for a marroon and teal theme.  If you need a neutral color you could use white, grey or even gold.  It is close to your favorite colors, but adds a very pretty pop.

You could use dark red roses, and aqua colored brides maids dresses.  I could imagine red flower petals everywhere. You could even wear some kickin red pumps down the ailse.  It could go well for a playful or very elegant event.  It’s also not too feminine.  You could even do a red velvet cake!!!

There are lots of inspiration boards on google, just type in “red and teal wedding or red and aqua wedding” here is mine… check it out and tell me what you think…
