I am going to be getting married in Aug. We are on a very small budget of $2000.00. We where going to get married at our local church but it has taken three months for them to just give us the paper work to rent the hall (we are still waiting for the paper work). So we are back to square one and we have 100 guest for our wedding. So we need a location for both serimony and reception. That will allow us to bring in our own food and drinks. The $2000.00 is for everything. I do already have my dress so that done lol.
Thanks ke for your help.

Well don’t you worry, there is a website out there that is for you! It’s called 2000dollarwedding.com.
Check it out! Sara has lots of great ideas about creating a meaningful wedding on a very limited budget.

@cbgg: I looked at that site and it had a lot of great ideas but the venu she used wouldn’t work for us. We have a lot of older people in our family’s that wouldn’t be able to attend if I had the wedding in a park.

Have you checked out Veteran Halls/Elk Lodges/etc? Those are generally VERY affordable!

@Akrege: How many people do you expect to attend?

@Akrege: I don’t mean that you should copy her wedding exactly, but that you can get inspiration to find your own budget ideas.

@Akrege: Does the church have office hours? Go down there and have them print up the paperwork while you are waiting there, and then fill out the paperwork.

@fancymichelle: I asked why they couldn’t just print them out and they told me it had to come frome another church. Basically the run around

@Akrege: do you have a friend or family member with a large yard? Here you can “rent” a local park for $20..

I’d definitely check with your local community center! We ended up booking with ours (beautiful room and location) just a few months before our wedding and it was very inexpensive. They allowed us to bring in our own food and drink (or have an outside caterer).
