Sorry I can’t help with the particulars, but I love OEC moissy! I think you’ll be much happier with the shape of the stone.

I love OEC moissys too. You should also check out JYB. She is fabulous. https://www.etsy.com/shop/JYBJewels

Also, have you checked diamondbistro.com or loupetroop.com to find a loose OEC secondhand? Sorry you are unhappy with your stone. Good luck.

I have an Amora Gem OEC, but from before they installed their Tiger cutting equipment. They are lovely. THey have a new pattern called August Vintage Round which is amazing (designed by GoodOldGold). They have exactly 1 in stock for $754 AND its a J!! — I’d snag it if you love it as the production rate is really slow and you might not get one for months.

I would also check with Caysia at CVB, I’m not sure if she sells stones only by they are great.

JYB also nailed the cut (linked above).

I, personally, am not a fan of C&C moissy. The OEC cut is a little off and they can be very hit and miss.  Some are lovely and some are really not. They really need to up the quality control. Usually MoissaniteCo is better as screening the stones, so I’m sorry you don’t like yours.

Have you tried diamondbistro or ebay? im serious.. you never know what old gem is going to pop up there from old or used stock.  if you take your time to search you’ll find the perfect replacement stone.  Also-did you register that c&c yet? if not keep the warranty card to resell it back into the market when your trade it is complete.

I’d second the BTD august vintage round OEC cut, they have 1 in stock, 1.03ct (6.44×6.37mm, J, internally flawless), but this one has no culet, which some love, some hate. Yes, BTD’s original cushion cuts had something to be desired overall, but this AVR was designed by Jonathon at Good Old Gold, and the light performace is killer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG08b4iKPng

OR, I’d contact JYB jewels, she sells loose stones and the cut is fabulous! You can order colorless or warm, and everyone I know that’s worked with her says she’s been fabulous. 🙂

I am constantly drooling over the stones that JuliaB Jewelry posts on her Etsy page.

Why not contact Moissaniteco and ask if they can just swap out the stone for an H&A? They may do that if you’re vocal on the boards about getting a dud stone…just a thought to try to save you money.

Slick :  They might not, because the stone actually has nothing wrong with it, she just doesn’t like the look, but moissanites are known to be this way.

fieriee :  I had the same issue and I contacted jhollywood and harro gems and they said that they offer their OEC’s in warmer colors.
