Ok, so I have officially ordered my dress, and now that a couple months have possed I’m freaking out!! Please give me your honest opinion on this dress… It’s Casablanca 1914, but I changed the skirt to have a mermaid like Casablanca 1957. So this is me in the dress at the store, but my actual dress will be 3 sizes smaller and fitted to the hips. Is it flattering? Would you wear it?
My fiance swears I’m just nuerotic because even though he hasn’t seen it, he swears me and my friends all came home so excited just swearing we found the perfect dress. I’m hoping I’m just forgetting how gorgeous I felt in it in person… because looking at the pics I’m startig to doubt myself!!
Ignore my face in those ones hehe, I was talking. I don’t plan on looking so bored on my wedding day!!
The last pic is of the skirt that I had mine changed to. I loved the cut of the satin one on, bt the material of the lace one, so I paid a bit more to customize it to what I liked best 🙂
Is anyone else out there having dress panics while waiting for it to be made?

Yes! I just had my first fitting on August 31, and I am very anxious to see my dress after the alterations and cutting down! When I ordered my dress, I had just finished a round of steroids and had bulked up a bit, although it was mostly water. But 10 pounds is 10 pounds, even on my 5’7 (and 3/4!) frame. By the time my dress came in, I had lost the 10 pounds and then some (approx 15 total), bringing me down to right about 128. Needless to say, there is a whole lotta takin in goin on!
I am sure your dress will be gorgeous – I love the alterations you are having done! Have you read Mrs. Champagne’s blog? She chose a very similar Casablanca gown and had it altered from an a-line to more of a mermaid/trumpet, very much like what you are having done. She, and her dress, were stunning! You should definitely check out her posts.

I think your dress is gorgeous and will be even better the way you decribed the changes. But I too am questioning my dress while waiting. It’s only been around 3 weeks since I ordered it but I see all these gorgeous pics with the sweetheart neckline, now I think I like those better. I still love my dress, but the waiting is playing tricks on my brain.

It’s beautiful! You are going to look great!! I think the changes you are going to make is going to make it look even better on you than the picture.
And I had the same problem after ordering my dress. I started to second guess, worry I should have gotten a different one, or that it wouldn’t look good. It came in last week and I went to pick it up Sunday. All fears flew out the window as soon as I had it on again. I ordered it as a petite and that just made a huge differenece.
Don’t worry, your going to look amazing!
