Hey, bees! I went wedding dress shopping for the first time almost two weeks ago and I think I fell in love with two dresses. I initially went with my mom, dad, FMIL, and FSIL. They didn’t have firm opinions on most of the dresses I tried on. They just said everything looked beautiful on me and I should choose what I like the best. I haven’t had a chance to go back to the store yet to try them on for my bridesmaids (who will tell me what they really think!) and I just…I keep thinking about them both! What do you all think?

Hi girly! Congratulations! I personally like the second one 🙂 It’s gorgeous on you and compliments you perfectly!

I prefer dress #1.. I think the fit is much more flattering, but to be honest I’m not sure strapless is quite right for you. #2 is pretty, so maybe with alterations on the fit, it will be perfect 🙂

I prefer the first, and by the look on your face, you also look happier in it! But if you’re not feeling it’s THE ONE, then maybe you need to try on a few more?

I like the 2nd one better on you….although I prefer the first one’s style. I dont like the first one on you because it looks like the back is built with too much made into the torso….design-wise it looks like the bottom of the area of the corset should sit abouve your rear end and it falls lower making you look shorter. The second one flatters your figure well, making you look thinner than you already are….and the straps bring some attention up to your face…..it looks more modern and the back looks beautiful. =)
Happy Shopping!!!….if neither one gives you that moment where you lose your breath keep looking…I tried on 50 dresses and loved and bought the last one I put on.

I prefer 2 but the extended detail down the dress to the hips and the fact that there’s no clearly defined waist on both dresses make you look short, with a crazy long torso and short legs. I’d keep looking. I think the neckline on 2 is stunning on you.

The 2nd one looks great on your figure!

I actually think they both look great on you! If I had to choose one, I’d say the second 🙂

Thanks for your opinions, ladies! I’m so glad to see which ones you prefer and why! I feel I should mention that my facial expressions are a bit weird and don’t necessarily reflect the way I feel about the dresses. My dad was taking pictures and waant clear about when he was snapping the shots (there are many pictures of me that are just ridiculous or blurry because of this!)
Dress #1 was a little too big on me, and #2 was a little too snug. That’s why the side sleeves sort of sit weirdly on me in the rear picture, but it does give me a good shape!
As for looking short…well, I am! Should I try on a different style of dress to keep me from looking too short, or do you think proper sizing and alterations will remedy this?

Number 2 is better. That dress can show your beautiful curve and shoulder well~

Like! Number two on you is great but I do feel like it needs the back lowered although this is probably something to do with it not being the right size 🙂

Once dress 1 is hemmed for you I think it will be perfect! You look lovely in both though!

#2. The skirt on #1 makes you look much shorter.
Since you asked- I think a dress with a natural waistline would help elongate you. Dropped waists only elongate your torso and shorten your legs.

Definitely the second one… i love the little straps
