1) What do you think of using short lace dress like the one below for a beach/outdoor wedding?
2) What do you think of using Alfred Sung’s bridesmaid collection (for my bridesmaids) for a beach/outdoor wedding?
3) Now this is my plan B for super simple small wedding: what do you think of using a white bridesmaid dress as a wedding dress?
Thanks a lot!

I like the idea of using a bridesmaid dress for a wedding dress. What styles were you looking at?

@peachacid: For that option, I love Alfred Sung, The dresses are elegant, but they don’t come in ivory. I’m not too fond of “very white” white dress. I love lace, but I think lace could be very expensive. The affordable ones usually use the best lace.

I hate giving negative opinions, but I don’t think that first dress would suit a beach wedding at all. It is a super stunning dress but it looks a bit formal even though it’s short – so more suited for a court house or hotel wedding.. or a garden gazebo ceremony type thing. But when I think “beach”, I imagine more floaty materials, and less fitted.
The BMs dresses look lovely for a beach wedding though
That’s just my 2 cents though. If you love it, please go for it!! 🙂

I have to agree that it doesn’t suit a beach wedding. I think it is an amazing dress and if you love it get it. I really like the idea of using a bridesmaids dress as a wedding dress! 🙂

Neither of those dresses look appropriate for a beach wedding to me. They’re both gorgeous, but just out of place at a beach, In My Humble Opinion.

Honestly, I feel this fitted knee-length lace dress (which is really beautiful by the way!) will not suit an outdoor/beach wedding theme at all. It’s more indoor weddings I would think. The bridesmaid dresses seems a little too structured as well to suit an outdoorsy theme. Look for something ‘flowy’, flouncy, soft and relaxed when it comes to outdoor wedding themes.
