@Natalieh86:  Oh good! I’m glad you liked it. That’s always my go to recipe for when I feel like ordering, but then realize I have ingredients to make my own. I also have a thai chicken pizza topping recipe that I could share if you’re interested. I love it! So different and delicious 🙂

My favorite homemade pizza is baked potato.  Start with a layer of pepperjack cheese, then top with thin slices of baked potato, bacon crumbles, and cheddar- no sauce!

I have found the key to having the best crust is to pre-bake it for a few minutes before adding the toppings.  That keeps it from getting soggy and taking forever to bake when all the toppings are added.

I don’t know how creative or out of the box this is but my favorite is onions and pineapple.

My parents make great pizza at home. My favorite is with a tiny bit of tomato sauce topped with thickly-sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella or burrata, and basil (and maybe grilled chicken). My dad likes his with tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, caramelized onions & bell peppers, and Italian sausage.

Here’s the thai pizza recipe:

1/4 cup light peanut buter

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp grated gingeroot

1 tsp each liquid honey, reduced-sodium soy sauce and red wine vinegar

1 tsp minced garlic

pinch crushed red pepper flakes

1 cup chopped cooked chicken breast

1 cup packed shredded light Monterey Jack cheese (divided)

1/3 cup bean sprouts

1/4 cup each matchstick carrots and chopped green onions

To make sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a small pot and heat over medium-heat until bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix 1 heaping tbsp of sauce with chicken pieces and set aside. To assemble pizza, spread remaining sauce evenly over crust. Top with half the shredded cheese. Distribute chicken cubes evenly over cheese. Top with bean sprouts, carrots, and green onions. Sprinkle remaining cheese over toppings.

Place pizza directly on middle oven rack and bake!

* I always make this on that dough recipe that I shared with you and it is delicious! Happy cooking 🙂

My Fiance and I make a white pizza that is his favorite:

-Spread ricotta cheese on the pizza as the base
-Top with some garlic, chopped bell peppers, mushrooms and onions
-Add lots of shredded cheese
-Sprinkle with crushed red pepper
-Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or so (longer if using homemade dough for crust)

All of these sound amazing!! I’m drooling.I need to try that Thai Pizza!

Fiance loooooves making his own pizza. He makes the Pioneer Woman’s dough recipe (very stubborn – won’t try another recipe!). One of our favourite toppings is roasted garlic. You roast a bulb of garlic in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper. When it’s done, you can spread it like butter. We usually put it on first, and then the toppings. You could also just make a pizza as usual, and then pop peices of the roasted garlic on top.
