Don’t beat yourself up too much. About every two weeks FH and I have a cheat day. Then we throw in an extra day of working out. As long as it is not a everyday thing, you are fine.

Some days I don’t want to workout (too many papers due or when it is that time of the month). I just try to do a little more the next few times I work out or do something at home. Today I don’t want to go to the gym, but I am going to go anyway because I am so close to my goal. Plus, I really don’t have a good excuse not to go.

i was kicking butt! seriously…7 weeks (5 days a week) of working out and now i’ve hit a lull…we hiked a mountain last saturday..it was 7 miles and i was soo sore after..well its now thursday and i havent been back to the gym since. Sunday though…sunday is when i start again. i promise.

I don’t know how well this works for others but when I have a hankering I brew up some fruity tea. It gets rid of it!

This happens to me alllll the time. Ugh so annoying! Must. Stay. Focused.

 @KaitlinHudson: I do the same thing! Lately I have been all about Evolution brand green tea diffusers with different fruit flavors. Right now I have acai and it’s delicious! (Plus the green tea also helps to kick cravings and boots your metabolism!)

Another thing that helps is I stock up on healthier snacks. I know I can’t go without everything all the time, so rather than breaking down and not finding something at home to snack on (which than leads to a trip to the corner store eek!) I buy things like mixed nuts, and those 100 cal packs of cookies and pretzels for days that I’m really craving junk! At least they’re miniture cookies…..

If it makes you feel any better, my office is having a blood drive and I just donated blood solely so that I would not have to go to the gym today (because you aren’t allowed to after donating).  Sad.

 I use work out time as my “thinking time”. My treadmill is a lifesaver! I hate running outside because I have to run to my destination which just honestly sucks to me! Once I am about halfway done outside I start to get jealous of the cars because I have to run alllll the way back! haha!!

 This is what I do, I try to run at least a mile every night. (only about 3-4 nights will I go over it. I know some woman say they do 5 miles a day but I am NOT a runner what so ever! Even though I like it, I’m just not good at it!) I grab my I-pod, lock the door, turn on the TV and start runnin away! I do everything BUT think about what I’m doing. I love to listen to my favorite fast, up beat songs. It usually helps my legs stay up with the beat and not slack. Then I just vent away in my own mind. Its actually VERY relaxing and helps me be able to think at least once during my day. Hope this helps!!!!

this sounds just like my modus operandi! hehe

but i think its better to just allow yourself some slack every now and then not too often because banning yourself from things you love altogether never works
