Anyone have any suggestions?
I have to wear special custom made orthotic insoles in my shoes and don’t know where to find shoes that would be cute, yet accommodate these. Most orthotic shoes are ugly and “old-lady” looking (sorry if I offend anyone). Does anyone know a store or website that might sell decent flats for orthotics?

Do you mean for your wedding or for everyday wear? My husband wears orthotics too, so I know what a pain it can be!

The only thing that I can suggest is to ask the place where you have your orthodics made. I am sure they get that question a lot. You will probably have to have your shoes custom made.

I have to wear orthotics and I wear Campers all the time. My wedding shoes are Camper, but they’re a sandal. Camper has lots of cute flats that will take an orthotic– you usually need to remove their insole but they are wide enough and deep enough to take the orthotic in them.

I have the same problem (my orthopedist is always shocked at how much he has to build up mine to compensate for my pronation) and I’ve found that mary janes and similar work really well. Because of the nature of orthotics, heels really do not work well (if you are able, some low heeled shoes have enough supprt that you can go a couple hours without orthotics with only mild joint pain the next day.)

Ecorachel- haven’t heard of Camper. I’ll look into them.

call zappos directly. they are so super helpful. i bet if you tell them your situation they’ll be able to recommend some shoes to send you to try on. you can’t be the first to ask this question.
