So my Fiance decided a long time ago that we didn’t want groomsmen or bridesmaids. We still are sticking with that but I’m not sure on how to do the processional. I thought about his parents and then mine but that seems awful short. Any other ideas? And then I’m not really a unity candle type so I was wondering what others have done that is new and unique or different. Im afraid our ceremony will be to short! Thanks in advance!

undercover92: How many guests are you anticipating?
If the number is not too large, you could keep the doors of the chapel closed, guests would mill about ouside the doors. When the doors are opened you and Fiance would be just inside the doors to greet all your guests. They would all take their seats, then you and FO walk down the aisle together
You could do a unity painting

We will have about a hundred or so people, the painting thing is cool but I’d be terrified to get it on my dress lol

Were doing a blanket ceremony. My mom made us a beautiful quilt, and her and fmil will bring it up and wrap fi and i in it while the officiant says a little spiel about its meaning. Its apparently a native american tradition, but when i originally brougt the idea up to fi and fmil they had never heard of it (they’re Native American, fmil is very active in her community and is very aware of the traditions and ceremonies)… so were doing it more because we want to as opposed to cultural obligations.

undercover92: some ideas that come to mind:
– ring blessing?
-unity sand ceremony?

- handfasting?
- exchange of love letters?
- wine ceremony?
- tree ceremony?
-rose ceremony?
- unity cross? (if you’re religious)
