This is my first post so I apologize if I put it in the wrong spot or something. I am getting married on October 8, 2011. Up until recently I was planning on going with a fall them where the Bridesmaid or Best Man would be wearing burnt orange dresses. However, I recently found a wonderful ceremony location at the Al Ringling Theatre. (http://www.alringling.com/home) If you look on the home page you can see that the colors are basically red and gold. The ceremony would take place on the stage with a black backdrop (I don’t want the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses to blend in too much) . Now, with this change of venue I would like to change my wedding colors so that they mess better with the location (a hint of vintage maybe) while still incorporating some sense of the fall colors. I have considered deep purple accented with red and/or orange or having red as the primary color (although I don’t know what flowers I would have the Bridesmaid or Best Man hold). I’m really open to suggestions so anything ideas would be welcomed!! Pictures are always good too!!

I’m using deep purple (eggplant) as my main color with accents of orange. The BMs will be wearing the eggplant color dresses carrying orange flowers. My flowers will be orange as will the guys bouts.
Here is the inspiration board I created last year. Perhaps it might inspire you.

I love the idea of incorporating eggplant with the orange/red! I wish I had thought of that. My BMs are wearing plum and carrying blue/purple flowers. I think you’ll be just fine changing them to purple. They might even like it better than burnt orange…

What about a rich green as well? Or will it come across as to Christmassy?
I think it would look great with thre reds, oranges etc.

Thank you for your impute. I’m feel slightly better about the deep purple orange/red color combination. I’m just not sure if it will clash with the theatre setting (which is gold and red). Also, Thanks for the inspiration boards. They really help me visualize how the colors would look together.
