My Fiance and I had the pleasure of going out and registering today. We registered at Target, Kohls, and Crate and Barrel. We had a blast at the begininning, but it became super stressful fast! I feel like I have to make a commitment to these plates, bath towels, etc, for a very long time…..
Anyways, when we got to the pots and pan section, we had NO CLUE. We do tend to cook a lot and are wanting a nice pan set of our own, but don’t know how to choose. Stainless steel, copper bottom, non-stick, a mixture of both…..HELP!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Funny cause the pots I originally registered for were discontinued so we had to register for a new set. What a headache!!
I would trust a good brand that comes recommended from the sale’s staff and has been around for awhile so you know you can always add on to your collection or get replacements. They know what is good and not. The 3 brands that came highly recommended was Analon, Calphalon’s Tri-Ply(which we chose), Emeril and All Clad. I really wanted stainless steel but was told that an iron pan would be best. So we registered for Calphalon iron pans and steel pots. I would of gotten the Analon which if you check it out is AMAZING but my daughter was pushing about them being ugly. haha. I personally cannot stand All Clad because their handles are very skinny and to attempt to pick up a saute pan with a pot holder in one hand is impossible because they are so HEAVY.
And I’ll be honest we did not register for towels since we love ours from CB2 and will just add to that later. Plus towels always go on sale and we really need all the other everyday stuff more!

We registered at BBB because they have a cash return policy. If something happens and those towels look just awful in our apartment then we can take them back and buy some new ones (either at BBB or wherever!)
For pots and pans, we went fancy– Le Creuset. Our other registry is at Williams Sonoma. We figured if even if we only get one or two of them, we’d rather have great cookware as wedding presents (because we could buy the $80 set from Target ourselves!
If you’re looking for something middle-of-the-road, I’d suggest Calphalon? They’re not too pricey but they are better than your generic brand pots and pans. And you can find them pretty much everywhere nowadays.
