I am getting married in September and i have just booked my hair trial for the end of June.
I have always had Full front bangs that are just styled straight down. I have been looking for hair inspiration pics with full bangs but am struggling to find any, and the ones i have tried look silly.
i am thinking about growing out my bangs a little longer and pushing them to the side but i am very aware that i have a large forehead and im not sure if it looks silly or not.
My mum thinks i should just leave them but im getting fed up of them.
I had a little play around this morning with my hair.
Do i look silly with them pushed to the side? I know they are short at the moment – how miuch longer do i need to grow them do you think.
Ignore the rest of my hair as i have just shoved it up for effect with my very old ballet tiara i have had since i was 7!!
i know i need to brush my bangs but you get the idea…
Also should i keep my hair this colour or add a few highlights?
(i do have a top on i promise)!!

i think if you were able to grow them another inch or two, they’d look great off to the side, and you’ll have more options for pinning/curling them.
here are some examples:

@peonyinlove: Thanks for your opinion. I think yes if they were a few inches longer pinning them would be a good idea as they would stay in place better.
Just need to get through the awkward growing out stage where im normally tempted to cut them again!

Honestly, I dont think it would look silly at all if you just left them straight.

@allyfally: +1 I think they would look good kept straight too. But if you grew them an inch or two more, they would definitely NOT look silly pushed to the side. You’re really pretty, by the way!

I honestly think they look good now. But You can grow them out another few inches and it will look good as well. It’s really up to you!

@WannaBeeMrsB: Aw thank you- made my day!!, i feel fat and ugly at the moment as im 40 weeks pregnant and my dad told me i have a fat face the other day lol.
I tried them straight with a half up style but i felt it made my face look really wide as they are very thick (hairdresses cut them wrong)

@ChocolateLime: I think they look good pushed to the side! Definitely grow them out before your big day if you want to be able to do more with them. Honestly the worst that’ll happen if you grow them out is that you’ll trim the bangs if they get too long and you need to trim them.
I think you look gorgeous as it is and are going to look beautiful on your wedding day! 🙂

@ChocolateLime: I def think they will look perfect like the 1st picture @peonyinlove: posted!

My desired hairstyle is almost exactly the same as yours is in that photo, but I have longer bangs than you, and I had my stylist pin them up to the side for my hair trial. She did a cute little curl and fixed it up with a bobby pin – I thought it looked very cute. (I wish I had photos, but that particular detail fell out before I got to take photos – it was a windy day.)
However, your normal bangs look just fine as well! I would probably just go with whatever you are most comortable with, I’m sure both will look great.
I would maybe try to let them grow out (if you can refrain from cutting them :P) and see how they loook pinned for the trial, and then cut them if you don’t like it.

I think it looks super cute. I love it! Hair envy!!

I actually really like your hair the way it is now. The colour is so nice too, and natural looking. I love bangs, and think a full bang or side bang will look great! NOT silly at all.

@raisedonrobbery: Thank you. I havent dyed my hair in over a year- usually i get bored and dye it but being pregnant the smell of chemicals makes me sick so its been easy to leave it alone.
The top is my natural dark and the bottom has a slightly lighter golden hue to it. almost like a natural ambre look where i used a colour corrector to take out red last year but you cant really see the difference here.
I have been growing it for the past year also with regular trims so hopefully by September i will have another couple of inches in length.
