Hey Bees I need your help!
My wedding is in 7 days, it is a picnic themed wedding that I am trying to give a real vintage feel to. Think lace and lilacs in antique vases, and cream soda in glass bottles in a metal tub of ice.
Anyways heres what I need help with–> The ceremony will take place at the edge of a woods. There is a little semi circle spot where all the guest chairs will be facing the woods and I will come across the little wooden bridge at the edge of the forest. So I need some ideas of something that will creat a little bit more of a setting than just the trees. I don’t really care for arches. There are trees that we could potentially string up some sort of decoration but they are a little tall and would require a bit of effort.
Let me know what you think, send me pictures of things you think are pretty! Thanks ladies!

@MattysBeeBee: What time is the ceremony? You can do lanters with candles (depending on the sun). Or those pom-pom things hanging from some of the trees if they are short enough. With what you are describing though the natural beauty of the place really should suffice. I wouldn’t go crazy.. it may take away from the nature

If you’re up for hanging things, I’ve seen pictures of lace in embroidery hoops hanging from trees. It looks lovely.

@JessSeny: The ceremony will be around 2:30 in the afternoon. There will candles on the bridge, do you think small lanterns would be too much fire?
@edub: I have never seen that but I’m going to google for some right now!

@MattysBeeBee: I meant the lanters with the candles inside. the small ones. I wouldnt think there would be fire with the window thing closed….
Now I have no shame. Not sure about you…. BUT you could potentially buy them from home depot/lowes and possibly return them after if they are still in good shape… just saying… (if you do not have no shame like I do… I was totally joking!! )
These are solar…

@MattysBeeBee: It always helps to be able to see the area. Could you psot a pic of the area?
Ok just a few ideas without being able to see it

floral arch and two beaded curtains

@MattysBeeBee: I don’t how low the branchs, but you could hang mason jars or vintage bottles from the tress. You could also drape lace frabic amongst the trees for a natural altar or center focus.

@MattysBeeBee: why have your wedding in the woods if you don’t think the natural beauty is enough? no need to decorate Mother Nature.

@JessSeny: Oh I can be pretty shameless 😉 haha Those are very cute!
@weddingbound: The pomanders in the last pic are to die for! Gasp! SOOO pretty and soft!
@julies1949: The chandelier and crystal beads were in my original plan but we just couldn’t really find a budget friendly option in my VERY rural area haha. Oh well- I’ll still be forever in awe of gorgeous chandeliers!
@mrschmura: FI and I are thinking the jars with candles could be just the ticket for this. Love it!

@MattysBeeBee: If your wedding is at 2:30 pm, I don`t think candles or lanterns will have much impact.

@julies1949: We’re thinking the color of the jars will be enough. We were thinking of blue ones perhaps.

@MattysBeeBee: I know you dont like arches, and I don’t know if you consider this one, but we are renting “pipe and drape” ( about 20$) which is the easiest thing to put up, its about 8 ft tall and has 2 bases. and for the drape we bought some lace curtains from ikea for like 14$. you could do some what the same thing but use the trees instead of the pipe. the inspiration is this:

What about pom poms
or paper flowers?
A mix of lilac and white would be beautiful!
