So this is my first month using OPKs. I have only charted the past two months with an O at Day 13 and Day 17. When should I start POAS and how many times a day? Also, when I get a positive do I BD that night or wait a day because it might not happen for 24 hours? I am so confused!
Also, if you have any other advice for chart reading/OPKing please send the info my way! I have read so many informational websites and my head is still spinning!
Thanks in advance:)

well, none of us are really qualified to give medical advice, but we all do anyway, haha.
My cycles are regular, so I started testing with my OPKs on day 10 or 11, so I could watch the test line get darker. I usually O on day 14 or 15. after you get a positive you might get one more day of a positive or a strong line, and then nothing. So don’t keep wasting the tests.
From everything I’ve read, the best days for BDing and conception are the days leading UP TO your O, when you have the most fertile, stretchy CM. on here, it’s referred to as O-1 or O-2, meaning ovulation minus one or two days…
I’ve got some good information online, but I also went to the library and took out a couple good books on the subject.
really, tune in to YOUR body, use the tests as a back up to what you’re feeling. This past month I was testing early, and getting weak results, and then one morning I woke up with a noticable increase in sex drive, and when I checked, there was the stretchy CM. our bodies give us the signals when we pay attention.
try to BD every other day during your fertile week. Google the Sperm Meets Egg Plan.

1. OPK 2 times a day. Morning and evening. Some women only get a surge in the evening.Try and do it the same time everyday.
2. I EOD starting on CD 10 then the the day i get my postive I BD that night, the night after and then the next night.
3. a Postive OPK does not mean you Ovualte.. it means you have the hormonal surge that LEADS to Ovulation.
Its awesome you got a postive OPK! Some women go months with out getting one. i hoep i helped! Please PM if you have any questions!

@Adeline4: This was my second month using OPK’S. I found them confusing. Def test 2 times a day. I did 3 times at first. I started on cd 9 since I tend to ovulate early. They recommend bd EOD. This is just me but, I had very short surges my first month it was only positive for a few hours mid day. This month I had 2 days of positives, but only mid day again. And I never got a positive OPK in the morning with first morning urine. Only positives at 11:30am. Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses. Everything you all said is SO helpful!!!!!! I got the wondfo’s so I will start with them. I also have a 7 day supply of First Response OPKs. Do you think I should do the wondfo tests and confirm with one of them or are they the same thing? Also, a few of you mentioned to test two times a day but I am a teacher and my schedule is all over the place. Should I test at 4:00pm and 10:00pm or try in the AM anyway and then at 4:00pm?
@MrsStrawberry24: I actually haven’t tested yet, I am just a beginner! I am so excited however to POAS and hopefully get a positive!
@mtnhoney: Thanks for that website- it helped!
