First of all, you’re stunning and barely need it! But, I’m a Spanx junkie and have a ton of experience. Spanx are by definitions smoothers, with some having more smoothing ability than others. Since your dress is strapless and you only want a tummy smoother, you really need something quite minimal. On their website go to Body Shapers > Tummy-Taming and everything you need for tummy compression is right there! (From experience, don’t go with a skirt slip because it will ride up and be uncomfortably restricting when you’re trying to walk/dance.) Choose what looks the most comfortable and Spanx will take care of the rest! P.S. Don’t forget to read reviews on the site and Google!

@genabrown: I’ll tell you the Spanx I have and tried. I’ve tried the pair that @musictchr25 suggested and it does work well. I don’t really use the hooks so much, I just tuck it up under my bra and it stays! Of course, use the hooks as you’ll be dancing the night away πŸ™‚ The other ones that I use are full body ones or bodysuit types ones that have straps – so no good for a strapless dress. Another tip is don’t be afraid to get one without shorts if you’re uncomfortable with that, but remember to try it on because you don’t want one that may cut you at the thigh.

@genabrown: Also I’ve never tried the thong type. Also, on the website the shapers are broken down into slimming categories with Super and Super Duper being the most slimming, and Medium being more of a bulge smoother.
