- Wedding: May 2012
So I have a bit of an issue. When I first got engaged I asked both my parents and my FI’s parents if there was any type of traditional thing that they would like me to honor on our big day. Both sides said ‘no’ and I left it at that. So I ended up buying a new necklace, bracelet, and earrings and was pretty excited with everything unntilll my dad remembered that he would like me to wear a wedding bracelete that has been in his family for years and for good luck. I would be more than willing to wear it except it is gold and everything I bought (and wear for that matter is silver or white gold).
I’m considering putting the bracelet around my bouquet but not sure how to attatch it so it won’t fall off, but I just dont want to wear it. It doesn’t fit into my jewelry tastes at all. I feel terrible about it though because my dad really hasn’t asked a lot from me for the wedding and honestly I don’t think he’ll be too hurt if I don’t wear it. But I can’t stop feeling guilty about it.
Soo my questions for you bees is what would you do, or how else can I wear the bracelet withou actually wearing it on my wrist?
Here is a picture of my necklace.
Here is a picture of my earrings.
Here is a picture of the bracelet I plan on wearing
And here is the bracelet that my dad would like me to wear.
And for those of you wondering, the bracelet has two dragons on it surrounding the symbol for Double Happiness.
