@MrsMcGyro: is the special K diet, having the cereal for breakfast and lunch and then having a normal meal for dinner. or have I confused it with something else?

First off I’ll tell you honestly that the only way I’ve ever been happy with weight loss is if I supplement a diet with exercise- and I mean cardio and weights.  Otherwise I lose weight, but look flabby and untoned.  I actually look better a few pounds heavier when I’ve been working out and my clothing actually fits better.  

That being said, I’ve had luck with the Belly Fat Cure.  It’s not a rapid weight loss thing, but I definitely lost my entire tummy within a few weeks of being on this diet.  I’ve since gained some of it back, but I am planning on going on it again 1.5 months before my wedding.  

It’s similar to Atkins in that it restricts carbs, but it doesn’t make you stop eating them all together.  The main thing is that is restricts your sugar intake (which is where the belly weight loss comes in.) It says to eat 15 grams or less of sugar per day, but when I started the diet, I ate more like 5 grams and the weight just started to fall off.

This is what I;m using… going to the beach in 2 months… in the 1st 7 days (with this kit you lose 6-10lbs. afterwards if you continue using the shakes… which keep you feeling full between meals then you continue to drop weight until your at a healthy size) =)

You should still work out and eat healthy on this program =) it’s just a kick start! Even if you work out 10 minutes a day it does have results!

@kayceeg: I have done this diet and it definately works!  For fast weight-loss I would recommend it, I also found I was always full and when I am full I am less likely to cheat and crave other food.

I have heard it called a few things, I got the recipe called the Fat Burning Soup diet, my mum did this diet as a teenager and it was called the sacred heart medical diet as apparently it is what the doctors give to patients who need to lose a lot of weight before an operation.  They are all exactly the same recipe.

The soup is fantastic as the more you eat the more you lose.  I think it takes more calories to eat it than you are eating or something like that.  I did get a bit sick of the soup by the end of the week but at least I was never hungry!

This is less exciting than previously mentioned diets, but just eat a lot less.  Eat the healthier side of what you normally eat, but much smaller servings.  In between, bulk up on watery vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, celery) without a lot of calories but that’ll sit in your stomach.  And carry around a water bottle – drink and refill multiple times during the day.

@misspandy:  Breakfast = egg whites (either scrambled with a touch of fat-free cheese, or hard boiled with some spicy mustard).  Then berries or an orange.  And tons of water.

Other thing I forgot, not a big concern right now, but about 4-5 days before your trip you should cut out salt as much as possible, to get rid of any bloat.

@nzgirl: I’m so glad to hear it! 🙂  I don’t know that many people who have tried the diet, but my friends swear by it.  I love how you can eat however much you want and that it doesn’t leave me hungry at the end of the day.

You’re right about the soup — it’s used as part of a three-day diet my friend’s dad (who’s a cardiothoracic surgeon) recommends his obese patients to do a few days before a major operation. I can eat it for a few days but then I get so sick of it that I can’t stand the taste/smell.

@misspandy:  I agree with Miss OBG’s suggestion.  Eat a lot of fruits, some protein.  You won’t get hungry that way.

Try Zi Xui Tang (Bee Pollen) pills….theyve helped me lose about 10 lbs in a month.  I got mine on NinaDextoxpills.com  and theyre only like $30 for a month supply.  They work pretty well though with no weird side effects 🙂

@plantains:  Yep, that soup really is kind of disgusting.  I’m sure it’s all (mostly) water weight that you lose too.  I usually do the diet without eating the soup.  Still works for me.
