I wore a very simple, waist-length veil really low, below my updo… more of an accessory than a veil…

@futurebauer: First, I love your dress!! Is it a Casablanca? Looks similar to one I liked but couldn’t find a sample of anywhere.  Anyway, I had a really hard time picking a veil, too.  I found elements of certain ones I really liked but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.  So I ended up custom ordering it from http://www.occanseydesigns.com/.

My dress is similar to yours in that it has a lot of details at the top and again at the bottom.  Since it has so much detail, I wanted a more simple veil… ended up with a 2 tiered, cut edge veil with scattered crystals that comes to just above the detailing on the bottom of my dress.  I don’t have any pictures with me at the moment, but I’ll post one later today.

Basically I’d say if you’re having trouble finding exactly what you want, put all the elements you like together and create your own custom one.  Worked for me and I absolutely love my veil.  And it ended up cheaper than the ones I was looking at in the stores.

 @futurebauer: Well, these pictures aren’t the best… the first was taken the day the veil came and it was still a wrinkly from shipping (The wrinkles have all come out just from being hung for a couple of weeks).  The second I just took with my phone… not great quality but gives you a little idea.  You can’t really see the crystals in either of these pictures though since the picture quality is so poor.

@futurebauer:

I’m wondering if a single tier raw or pencil edge would work for you. Since your wedding is outside, something shorter might blow all around…I think I watch too much wedding tv, ha ha! He single tier won’t distract from the detail of your dress and you will still feel bridal. I can share a photo of mine if you are interested.
