The lazaro is so dreamy! I’m pretty much in love with it.

Well, they are both trendy. But for me personally, the ‘what the heck was I thinking?!’ dress is the Lazaro with the crazy ruffles/texture. I know it’s super popular, but I don’t get it. I think the first dress is gorgeous.

So, I had a similar dilemma because I had actually tried on this Lazaro gown as well as the Monique Lhuillier Meringue, of which Vanessa Minnillo wore the skirt, when doing my dress shopping.

The Lazaro gown is beautiful and definitely has a nice flow to it.  I would say this dress is more modern and dramatic.

I also agree that pickups look dated – doing my dress shopping this is one thing I wanted to avoid…until I tried on the ML Meringue dress.  The silk faille skirt on the Meringue is a little stiffer than the skirt you are wearing in the picture, so It definitely makes the pickups look more structured and sculptural.  Needless to say, I fell in love and bought the Monique Lhuillier gown – I liked the simplicity of the skirt combined with the elaborate details of the corset.  I plan on wearing mine with a crinoline petticoat underneath to give the skirt more support and “poof.”

    Good luck choosing!

@sillysimon: Wow, I am in LOVE with that lazaro.  I prefer that, but of course it just depends on your own personal style.  You say you’ve always wanted a monique l. so would you regert not getting the ML?

By The Way, do you happen to have the style number for the Lazaro?? 🙂
