My Fiance made these http://pinterest.com/pin/134474738843368609/ firefly jars for the proposal. We’ll be using some of those as decorations hanging on the posts in the barn. We’re also using them as vases, I’ll make a mock-up soon and post if you’d like 🙂 I’m excited because I bought a lot of materials yesterday!

@Katnisseverdeen:  Oooooh, that’s almost exactly what we’re doing, with different colors!!

OP, I’m picking up the last of my jars tomorrow. I’ll try to snap a pic of my mockup and post it this weekend.

I just re-pinned this on pinterest and thought it was just SO great! Especially if the jars are just plain jars =) You could even put y’alls initials on them or something personalized!

PM me your email address and I’ll send you an invite to pinterest. It’s beyond amazing, and you’ll find so many ideas! (I haven’t done anything myself, but know I have lots of ideas pinned LOL!)

I would wrap a thick strip of burlap around the middle then tie a thin ribbon of your colous scheme over that with the paper flowers inside.  I think it would lokk pretty.

How lucy are you getting all those jars!

@RingPup:  Hi RingPup, please could you tell me where you got the slim candles you used in your mason jars at your reception? They are just what I need but cannot find anywhere (I am in the UK but will pay postage costs to find them!). Congrats on a beautiful wedding Smile

We filled mason jars with yellow candy and will have them preset on tables as favors. They add a pop of yellow and white to our tables (we printed white stickers for the tops). You can buy new rims and tops for pretty cheap at any grocery or hardware store.

I am so jealous!  I am having issues finding some that don’t cost an arm and a leg.  Lucking I don’t need too many because this is my centerpiece inspiration!  I love the different shades!  Also, some will be wrapped in lace with the flickering candle led lights inside.

@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d:  do you have freecycle where you live? or Craigslist? You might be able to find some that way.

I painted mason jars blue using glass paint and the florist added the flowers.
