So, I’m DIYing my flowers. I am fully aware of the risks involved in this. And I’m planning on thoroughly preparing myself. I’m not just doing this to save money (though that is part of it – there’s no way I would be able to afford to use as many orchids as I plan on using if I wasn’t DIYing) I also think not only would this be a good skill to develop but that I would also have fun doing this.
What I need your help with is picking out flowers. I know I want purple hydrangea, purple lisianthus, and red minicymbidium orchids. I’d like to have a large variety of flowers, all purple except for the orchids. I just don’t know what else to use that would look good with these flowers.
Here’s the HUGE catch, I don’t like roses or calla lillies (and I can’t imagine using carnations at my wedding).
Please help me Bees! Pictures and/or links would be SUPER appreciated…
EDIT: I also don’t want Gerber Daiseys…

Anemones, tulips, hyacinth, umm I don’t know… Try fiftyflowers.com on their side menu they have a search for flowers by color button. I personally like this bouquet, but it has a couple garden roses in it

Dahlias are in season in September and I think they’d look great with the flowers you’ve chosen.
