@malouloune:  nah, I don’t think so. It’s a beautiful dress and I would not complain about buying it haha 🙂

I’d rather spend $50 for a traditional bridesmaid dress.

HOWEVER, if it’s a dress that flatters my body in a color like black, white, or some other neutral, and is well-constructed from material like silk and is something I could definitely wear again to company parties or a night at the theater for years to come(in other words, timeless design), I wouldn’t mind spending up to about $275 or so.

If you have the money maybe you can say its 200 and I will take the difference. I know some brides love the dress and decide to skip something small to make up the cost.

I’m sorry, I love the dresses, but anything over 150 is too much for a bridesmaid dress. If your willing to cover the defference tell them. If they can afford this large price range, cool. Why not look at less expensive designers? You can find the same color combos at a cheaper price!?

    Mine was $216 + tax

I offered all of the girls help paying it if they needed, one took me up on it.

I agree with those that say you should pay for anything over $150. I would not be a happy camper paying that amount. The dresses are beautiful, but too fancy for gatherings that I frequent.

i would say talk to your bridesmaid and see what price point they feel more comfortable spending.. and perhaps give them the option to choose it themselves according to your color and few other criterias (lenght of the dress, your approval before purchasing, specific fabrics.. etc)

I personally couldn’t have the talk with my bridesmaids… i just couldnt ask them to be my bridesmaid and then ask them to spend $100+ on their dress, plus all the other duties that come with being a bridesmaid.. so i decided to pay for their dresses and found a purple, long dress at $60 that they like!

Another option is to buy from David’s bridal.. on their sale section, they have a good selection for a good price.. and they run sales all the time..
