Have you considered taking pictures of rings you like to a wholesale jeweller and having them re-create the ring?  That’s what my Fiance did, and it ended up WAY cheaper in the long run, but was appraised at a much higher value.

I don’t understand the problem OP. What doesn’t he like about it not including the center stone?

Almost every jeweler will not price the ring including the stone because you choose the specific stone that you want. Each stone will vary in price due to size, cut, color etc.. Once you pick out the stone, they’ll give you a total price.

The first one is very similar to my ring!  We had it custom made by an independant jeweler using a moissanite center stone and side diamonds at a very good cost.

I agree with scadadle15, most jewellers sell the center stone seperately from the setting so that you can pick the stone you want.  It’s best that way so that you can examine the stones and get the most bang for your buck.  Has he not gone to stores to look at rings yet?  Cause he might just not know that.

Well maybe he doesn’t understand how it works.

It’s a good thing that the center stone isnt included because then you can choose exactly what you want within your price range. If you get a good jeweler that you’re comfortable with, they’ll help pick out a stone without pressure.

Maybe you can give him something like this to help educate him on the process
