- Wedding: December 2014
So before I start asking the thousands of questions, this is my introduction…
I’m not from the US, but Fiance and I knew we were coming here to get a master’s degree (Evil plot twist: He was going to Boca and I was going to New York). So before things got all hectic and busy, we decided to take a trip to Europe. We were initially going to Barcelona and Toulouse only, but I thought… Why don’t we spend New Year’s eve in Paris?
Yes, and you guessed it: He proposed at midnight in front of the Eiffel Tower (because once you’re there, nothing can top that!)
It was su much fun! We headed out towards the tower at 8pm and packed champagne, cheese, sandwiches. We sat on the grass and just waited laughing and chatting… and then at 11 it started POURING… and at midnight there were fireworks and music. It wasn’t raining that hard anymore, but it got all muddy… and as I reached for the camera, he reached for the ring… He did not get on one knee (nor I would have let him) but had a beautiful little speech prepared.
And that was it. So we’ve now been engaged for one year now and getting married in December (not New Year’s Eve, though)
We both studied music, and we’re both artsy craftsy people, so we decided to make our own decorations by doing the 1000 paper cranes tradition with recycled, eco-friendly-died sheet music! (hence my username) Now life, far from boring, keeps us going back and forth from FL to NY every time we get the chance!
So as we start the wedding planning process, I look forward to reading your victories and super fun insights, and to start sharing some of my ideas too.
See you around!
Oh… and here’s the mandatory picture
