This is my firts post here. I waited until I have something to say but I do read you gus all the time. ๐ I just ordered my dres today and I am a bit worried now that I studied more the contract. The samples I tried were a bit tight in the bust area and loose on the waist and they were size 8. On the contract the dress they ordered is size 12. I am no way a size 12 not even with my Dirty Delete bust cup and I am not sure how to deal with this. I feel that with loosing weight the dress is going to be way to big when it comes and will be ruined by alterations. I am freaking out right now. I want to call the consultant tomorrow antd recheck the measurments.

Don’t freak. Bridal sizes run differently, usually at least 2 sizes larger because they use Asian size charts. My shop once altered a size 12 to a 2 – it will NOT ruin the dress. You’re fine.

Don’t freak out!!
1) wedding gown sizes are NOT the same as your street size. They run a LOT smaller
2) if it was too small in the bust it’s best to order 1 size up and have the rest taken in. It’s a lot easier to take in than let it out.
3) I’m sure they ordered 1 size larger than the one you tried on.
I seriously think you don’t need to worry or call the consultant.

Thank you, girls!
The sample was size 8. And yes, according to charts they ordered bust size 12 which is 39 inches (my bust is 38.5). I just turned google inside out. I guess I am what I am.
My dress is heavilly embroided. I hope to god they will manage to adjust it without ruining the embroidery. I will call again tomorrow and see what they say.

Also remember how stretched out sample gowns can be! Tons of ladies have squeezed and stretched themselves into the sample. Your dress will be much more tight.

I would think about switching the order to a ten. I was convinced to size up for my hips but then we had to take in the bust SO much and the neckline was never quite what I wanted.

My dress is an A-Line ball gown with natural waist.

Nymphettamine: I’m wearing a Monique too, and have Dirty Delete breasts but am petite. I had to order a size 10, which I thought would be huge, but it fits my breasts. It needs to be taken in at the waist. It’s gorgeous and I loooove my dress! Congrats to you:-)
ps I am 39 ” bust ( as they measure for bridal, not bra size!), 27″ waist, dress is corset separate from skirt.

Ignore the number. The dress should be ordered based on the largest measurement they take which for you is your bust. They will be able to take in the dress just fine where it is needed. If you are intending to loose weight, your bust measurement might not change much so you will still need that size to accomodate the bust size.

Tina, I am your size in measurments. :)) I am 5 feet and 7.5 inch. I am confident now. Thank you so much! Did you order teh Valletta? That was my favorite gown and I was set ordering it until my mom and sister said they hate it. I ended up ordering a beaded embroided A-Line instead to make them happy. Haha!

Pixi, this is what i am going to do. I was so stressed and now my consultant kindly answered to me and made me confident. ๐ My bust will not change much or at all (the girls are not real).
