- Wedding: October 2009
Our ceremony begins at 6 pm and is in a Catholic church with no mass. So it will be around 35 minutes. Fiance and I have struggled with fitting formal photos in our timeline … because we both want to leave the ceremony right after.
So this is the solution! We have the ceremony, guests exit … Bride and Groom make their grand exit – not sure what to do … what do you suggest for late October? It could either be chilly or 70’s and it is kind of dusk. Guests make their way to our reception site … very close by.
We enter the site and thats where we will have a receiving line! So our guests will enter .. be directed to the line, and as they go through the line, they will enter (and be directed) into the cocktail hour.
After the line is finished, we will take some family pictures. After the family pictures, everyone will be in the cocktail hour and Bride and Groom freshen up and enter the end of the cocktail hour and lead our guests into the reception.
Pre-ceremony: Getting ready, Bride and Groom will take pictures together- not sure where yet, Bride will get touched up and both will freshen up, everyone goes to the church. BAM ceremony!
YAY. I’ve been dying over this for sooo long. Now only if I can figure out when I should get started? How long will the receiving line last – have probably 160-ish guests … wish for 150 guests but will probably have more.
What do you think? Am I missing anything?
