I have been lurking around for some time now and have found a ton of great information. My question to all of you informative bee’s today is this…has anyone used an I-pod for their ceremony? We hired a DJ for the actual reception but our ceremony is outside and they want an additional $350 just for the extra set up and half hour of being outside. I just can’t justify spending the additional funds. (We are on a tight budget).
SO…with that being said if you did that how did it work?
Did you blend the music together and if so how?
How did you create a pause inbetween songs?
I would really appreciate any thoughts on this topic.

I am anxious to hear the answers to your questions. We are planning to do the same.

We’re doing something similar… our venue provides a cd player of some kind and a staffer to hit play/pause, and we provide 4 seperate cd’s for each time period we need music for.
You could create 4 seperate playlists so you don’t need to worry about pauses, and of course you’d need to asign someone to be the i-Pod DJ during the ceremony.

We’re going to use Mr.Bobby’s bands sound system and an ipod.

craigslist. State what you’re willing to pay and what you need (sound system or actual musicians) and see who answers you.
