Do you have photos of the dresses? Personally I’d skip the matching ties. It usually looks too much. Whenever I see photos with colored ties it just seems busy.

Why don’t you try getting pics of all your colours and creating a ‘mood board’. I did that when trying to picture my flowers, dresses, suits, anything with colour really.

I agree with PP – some picture and a mood board would really help you out. I think that the idea is great, so hard to tell until you see it all together though. What is your decor going to be like?

bryanna.pratt.3:  I LOVE those dresses!!

Honestly I could not pick ties until we had all the groomsmen together trying on suits, cuts, and colours. Prior to seeing them in the suit with ties,  every tie I liked didn’t end up looking good with the suit I’d picked for them. They were in charcoal suits. Ties can be tricky as there are so many variations of grey or charcoal.

Btw if you like different colored ties don’t be putt off by what I said. It’s your wedding,  do what you think is nice.

Bitchy? No… But I would be cautious since if the only guidance you provided was “gray” it might frustrate her if you tell her it’s the wrong shade…

You should probably pick out a swatch for your fiancee’s best friend to match her dress to the groomsman’s color.  Otherwise you may be playing the exchange game for a long time.

Good luck!

This is kinda off topic,  but men should ALWAYS wear a white shirt…even if your dress I’d ivory…otherwise the shirt will look dingey & dirty. My sister used to be a personal stylist for men at Neiman Marcus on Michigan Ave in Chicago & she told me this back when I was getting married.  I guess it’s just one of those things. He should wear a white shirt & then an ivory tie.  I was thinking about having the men in the bridal party wear ivory shirts too & she highly highly suggested otherwise.  Obviously it’s your preference, but it’s not as good of an idea as you & I thought.  Your tux specialist will most likely say the same.  Sorry to button in, but I just wanted to try & help.
