When I went dress shopping I was told Casablanca would mix and match dresses. So you could pick the top of one and the bottom of another. If you could pair the top of the second dress with the bottom of the first, I think it would be amazing.

I love the second one.. I like the first one too, but it was a bit plain for my taste. The second one shows off your figure much better… i’d definitely add a sweetheart neckline to it, though.
Both of them look fabulous on you though!

From what H216scrf
says I can mix & match, and now that I think about it I do think the lady at the store said something about that.
I am going shopping again on Monday & I will try them on again & see if I still feel the same. I might try on one or two other dresses as well just to make sure.

I’m not usually a fan of pickups, but I love the front of the skirt on the second style and how it drapes, so that would be my choice

I picked #1 because I hate pickups and love sweetheart necklines. But like some of the others, I think your body looks best in #2. But if all you hate is the lace edge, can you get it with a plain edge? Will need to have the dress hemmed at all? Maybe it can just be cut off.

Cannot sleep!! I am going tomorrow morning to try on the dresses again (& hopefully “choose”!)
Excited & Nervous!!
I think I have come up with a game plan though… I will look at the dresses first before even trying them on just because when you have it on you can’t see all of the dress, then I am just going to dive in! (Ha!) Try them both on, then take them both off & think it over.

Okay! So I bought my dress!!
And after trying them on I was still slightly “if-y”, but there was one factor that I had completely forgotten to consider….cost($$$).
Then I heard that I could buy one of the dresses right then & there (the sample) or I’d have to order the other dress & wait (not to mention pay full price for it, whereas the other dress would be half the normal price). After I’d heard this I just knew which dress was mine…the Casablanca 1927!
It was my size (slightly big in the top portion) but nothing that alterations could fix! Plus I’d have more money to spend on accessories (read: shoes, jewelry, and a veil!).
My budget for my dress (plus alterations): $1,500. Actual cost for dress: $481.25!
Jewelry budget: $200, I bought gorgeous earrings for: $45.00 (still need a necklace).
Headpiece & Veil buget: $200, I did go over on this, my actual cost was: $225.87.
Total cost: $752.12
I think I did fairly well, considering the other dress alone would have been close to $850.

Can I just tell you I was between the SAME two dresses!!!! That is crazy. I loved them both so much. The 1904 was just alittle bit too much for my body frame so I went with the 1927. I just got it in a few weeks ago and I’m loving it!
I made a few changes….I added a corset in the back which i am in love with and since I had so much extra fabric (they ordered way too big), I was able to add the detailing from around the waste to go up the back of the dress.
I love both of them on you but my vote is for the 1927. Although it looks big on you, I assure you, when its altered, its gives you just as much shape as the other one does. Also….I sorta like how the 1927 is more clean cut. The 1904(which i still have a place for in my heart as the runner up) just has alot going on in the back.
I guess it’s just personal preference. Good luck with your choice, you will look beautiful in either one. If you want to look, I will be adding pics of the 1927 slightly altered on my page soon.

Amazing deal, and great choice! I noticed you’re a date twin too. 🙂

That is crazy that we both were torn between the same two dresses! I would love to see pictures of the corset back, because that is one thing that I wanted (& can still add during alterations)
1927 looks gorgeous on you! which dress did you end up choosing??
Thank you! Date twins, and Texans! (or is there another Austin somewhere else? lol.)

I voted #2! It looks like it was made for you. Good luck!

I think the second dress flatters your bustline and your waistline much better than the first. In other words, your body looks fab in the second one!
