You could take the one you have into a local place that does embroidery and have “BRIDE” embroidered in the color of your choice.

I got the VS one and only wore it for about an hour. :/ The stores still have them, I know mine does. (I work for them.)

You could always order an iron-on rhinestone transfer of the word “bride” and iron it on. I DIYed shirts for me and my girls this way.

VS carries them in the store! I went through this last summer/fall and they said they bring out their new bridal things for the store, including the silk robe, for the spring. If your store doesn’t carry it now it should soon. I bet you could call stores at other malls and check. I just saw it in a store.

I really wanted a Silk Robe myself, so one night, on Fredricks, they were having a sale on some of their stuff, a silk kimono robe was one of them. I ordered it in an eletric purple color. I figured I could figure out how to “bedazzle” it later or find an iron-on applique. In just my opinion I found it to be too short for comfort since I was hoping to use it for “Getting Ready Pictures” and it seemed to not want to stay put and in place. I just wanted to give you my two cents, having already purchased. Luckily it was only $12 or so on Fredricks, and they even have a longer one available, and other styles.

I think I am going to go with a Plush one for myself!

Best of Luck!

I second @julies1949 idea. You can usually get embroidery done by someone local fairly cheaply if you’d rather not diy at the moment (and I don’t blame you!). But also, you will probably just be wearing it for a short amount of time… ahem… so a pretty white robe might be just as nice as one that says Bride? That is too funny that they sent you a robe without writing on it!

@Miss Seersucker: I live in St. Louis, but unfortunately our company doesnt work that way. They wont ship things from stores to someones house. Did you call the stores in your area? I know that our store has probably 10+ of them left and we’re getting a HUGE bridal collection this year, we’ve already started to receive it.

Worst comes to worst, I can sell you mine. Like I said before, I only wore it for about an hour and that was over my undergarments.

I seen some cute ones at victoria secret that had bride in rhinestones. I think they came in black or white silk.

I want one also! I looked at my local Victoria Secret and didn’t see any. I see zippylef mentioned St. Louis, and I live there, so if you can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it!

totally dumb question, but what the heck do you do with them AFTER the wedding day when you’re no longer a “bride”????

I got all my Bridesmaid or Best Man silk robes, and me a Bride silk robe.. I had the lady embroider “Bride” on the sash on the back.. and then send a plain sash too.. That way for the wedding day I can wear it with the sash that said bride on it, and in the future still have a nice robe to wear and it will have the plain sash it in!
