I think it has the same hue as the underskirt and even the top (but lighter) in the pic she posted in her original post!

At least to me the hue is way more alike the hue of my skirt than any of these more blue-ish, lavendel-ish purples that all others are posting? ๐Ÿ™‚ It certainly looks like the dress in her original post has more of a vintage rose-y hue than lavendel to me? But it might be my computer screen?

Anyway, from what I can tell from her picture, my skirt, togehter with a top similar to the one on the picture and a thin, silky skirt underneath, would make a great “replica” of her dream dress! ๐Ÿ™‚

rwgirl :  Check out wardrobe by dulcinea on etsy, I love her dresses and although i don’t know what your budget is, imo her dresses are affordable. She can do any color and has lots of examples on her facebook of custom work she has done. The professional model pics of her dresses were done on a beach and I think they look gorgeous, despite some of them being big tulle dresses. Don’t worry about it being too much, if you like it go for it.

If you feel like your dress is too big for a beach wedding,  can you have some underlying in the skirt taken out?  To reduce the poof. And definitively get rid of the sparkle belt- it does your dress no justice. Try a purple sash first before you decide to completely give up on your dress.

rwgirl :  You look gorgeous! What about incorporating touches of purple in the dress, bouquet headpiece?

rwgirl :

I can see why not purple accessories per se, especially not a coloured sash. But you could replace the underskirt of your white one – which fits like  a dream I must say – with purply coloured ( your dream dress looks more deep rose than purple to me ) tulle. That would also make it a bit more flowy and less structured perhaps.

I do so agree with you about losing  the sparkly waist detail, that doesn’t  enhance at all IMHO.

okay just an idea, but when I saw the dress you love (in purple), I thought it was a separate top and skirt, I think it is so beautiful but was SHOCKED that it was 7 thousand. The skirt reminded me of this Jenny Yoo Skirt that I am eyeing up for my own wedding (I like the blues for me:P but she has so many colour choices and a really beautiful muted purple called ‘Sweet Pea’ and she’ll send color swatches for a couple bucks a piece before you order):

Okay now add a lacey top:

https://www.jennyyoo.com/index.php/pippa.html

(These two both come in nice pretty muted purples! but if you want to tone it down I think a nice white top with the purple skirt would look nice too)

Sooooo, I know you can’t return your dress, but my point is, the dress you love is a very whimsical look that you could put together very affordably, so you wouldn’t be out much more than you are already (the skirt and tops I posted come to a grand total of like 350$ or something)

I have a slightly-purple dress (it’s white but handpainted in grey and purple… I suck at describing it but I love it!!) and my bridesmaid is in lilac. I wanted her in grey/ silver but we didn’t find anything… so my completely biased opinion is that it’s not too much purple ๐Ÿ˜›

To be perfectly honest- you look lovely in your current dress, but it’s also important to be happy… I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do this (someone PM me if this isn’t ok and I’ll remove it!), but I got my dress from the etsy seller below- she doesn’t do knock-offs, so it’s not the dress you have posted… but she has some lovely dresses and I know some are purple, cause mine is (and it wasn’t too expensive cause it was a sample). Anya replied in less than 24 hours to all of my messages, so it couldn’t hurt to enquire if you wanted to?? If not- you still have a lovely dress!!

rwgirl :  since there is no return, why not wear the wedding dress for the cermomy (ince it’s only 30 mins or less) and wear whatever purple dress you like for the reception? That way you can look back and say you loved the dress you were in ๐Ÿ˜€

Get the purple dress and get white flowers for your bouquet. Get the dress you love.

last option… this dress look really pretty and not cheapy… but it is cheap as far as price goes….so you could attempt to have this died and i think it would look pretty close to the emily riggs one.
