I am going to go with the American bustle. It will really show off the back beading!

i recently purchased the casablanca 2077 and when i first tried it on i knew this was it…  it just came in a week ago. i tried it on for the first time in 6 months and it was all wrong!.. the ball gown was now an A-line and was extremly big, they ordered me a size 10 dress and im a size 3, i look huge and the dress needs to be taken apart and the belt needs to be moved higher, im so upset about the dress. 🙁 i need some reassurance it will come out fine (lol)

@Aprilgirl:  There’s something wrong with the way they are bustling it ….I think you should go to another tailor.  It is not supposed to be so full in the hips.

@naz21:  If you have a good tailor it should come out great I am a size 6 and my first dress they ordered in a size 14 I didnt understand this.  Maybe they make more money on all the alterations they have to do….

Recently bought my Casablanca 2077 and I couldn’t be more thrilled!  As a larger bride (street size 18), I was worried that it would take me forever to find something that I liked, but this was the third dress I tried on, and I simply love it!  I’ll be wearing a cathedral length veil (although not the one shown in this pic…the one I ordered has a scalloped edge with a few crystals and pearls to mimic the embellishment on the dress…but they didn’t have a sample in a cathedral length in store…this one was just to test the length) Can’t wait for it to come in!!!

My dress came in the other day!! I was so excited to try it on!! I ordered a size 12 (Im normally a size 8/10) and it was a little big on me, so they will be taking it in.  I also decided to wear a hoop skirt with it, so that the bottom stays poofy throughout the night, and its nice because the fabric won’t be sticking to my legs.  I will be having the American Bustle.  I think the French bustle is super pretty, but I don’t want to hide the beading on the dress!

@Aprilgirl : You don’t look fat!! You still have a slim waist line.  I think your bustle is perfect! I hope mine comes out like that!

I just purchased this gown yesterday!!!! And I didn’t want to take it off! I tried it on with a simple fingertip length veil that has crystals all along the edge. I think that’s the one I’m going to go with because I like how the crystals pick up the design of the dress and the fingertip length doesn’t cover the back design. I really couldn’t tell that it was ivory until the sales woman told me but now my moms freaking out that it might not look right. I think the only problem is going to be figuring out what the flowebearer and guys should wear. I feel like everyone needs to be in a similar shade of ivory or it won’t look right. What’s everyone else doing????

@Melis870:  I had the same concern too.  We’re getting our tuxes from Men’s Wearhouse so the only options for the shirts are white and ivory, but their ivory is super yellow.  I decided to go with the white shirts after talking to a friend who got married last year.  Her dress was technically ivory, but a really clean ivory like ours with little yellow in it, but her guys wore men’s wearhouse white shirts, and they looked great both in person and in her pics.

Hi  @KKay123:  thanks for sharing your wedding pictures. Your wedding looked so beautiful and your looked so elagent in the dress. Did you find the dress to be heavy and too tight on your bust? Also what type od bustle did you have?

My wedding is in 9 days and I cannot wait to wear my dress finally!!! I will post picures after I get them back.

Hey  @Happilyevaafter5:  do you have a picture of you in your dress? I ended up getting my bustle changed 5 times because the alteration lady did not care what I wanted or liked. So I finally made her fix my dress the way I wanted it to look. And thank you for the sweet comment. After I changed the bustle I didn’t feel fat looking anymore and feel really happy about it now. 🙂

@Aprilgirl:  hi thank you! I hope you have a wonderful wedding!

the top of the dress was fine. The only problem I had was dancing because my bustle was not sawn in correctly toll wanted to save money and went to a tailor and not a wedding dress specialist). Other than that the dress was great.
