If you read my previous post, I was torn between two dresses. Well, all night I was thinking about a third dress. I’ve always loved huge ball gowns but I knew I did not want that style for my wedding. That’s why I was so torn. Well, I tried on a Mori Lee ball gown at one salon and fell in love!! I found one just like it for about $100 more at another salon..but it had beading all over! I sure do love bling! However, I found two fit and flare gowns that I just absolutely loved. I went back today and tried on the ballgown…and while it’s very pretty, I knew it wasn’t the one. Then as I’m trying on my dress that Christina Perri song from Twilight came on…that’s what I’ll be walking down the isle to and it always makes me cry! I started choking up and getting tears! I knew this would be the dress I want to walk down the isle to with that song in the backgroud, smiling and crying as I walk to my future husband.
The one thing I didn’t like about the salon is that they would not tell you who made the dress and went so far as ripping the tags out. I found their dresses pretty affordable so I don’t get why they don’t want you to shop around.
Here is the ballgown (allure 8752 – I only know bc it’s one of the dress pictures I brought with me!)
And here’s my dress! The pictures do not do it justice! My mom didn’t take a picture of the back but the beading wraps around. Corset back and where the corset stops there are buttons and crystals down the back. I’m just scared that I won’t be able to walk in it since the dress I tried on was a 12! It’s hard to imagine a dress fitting two sizes smaller! I tried on two dresses in size 8. One fit like a glove and I could move, dance, party. The other dress was cut differently so I could only waddle and sure as hell couldn’t sit down!! Now I have to not gain any weight!! I have been working out and eating well and….somehow I feel like I look like I gained weight :0(
