I bought mine from Alfred Angelo so my dress has tons of stock pictures. It’s prety neat that you got it from a private designer though- that means there won’t be a ton of the same dress out there! Did they tell you the designer’s name at least?

I bought a Marisa dress and there’s no such thing as stock photos! The company doesn’t advertise at all – the only images of dresses are on a user-submitted album on the designers website.

Same here! I was so confused when I brought my dress home and tried to find it online – it’s nowhere! I just like to think that there aren’t very many other people out there wearing the same gown as me. WE are the models 🙂

@JLR1982:  Same here, I bought a dress from a bridal shop in NJ and the designer is only sold there. I looked online for pics, nothing. Only pics I could find was of another bride who was selling her dress. At least I got to see it on someone else. Lol

I think thats great because it means it’s unique and you won’t have the models stock photo in your head. I ordered enzoani grace and the model pic makes me have second thoughts. Until you dress comes in you can just focus on how YOU looked in it.

Please describe it for us!

@chaz:  That’s interesting, because they used to many years ago. I remember seeing that designer in my brides magazines from a long time ago.  They must have determined that they no longer need to do so.

@JLR1982:  That’s interesting. So will they let you take photos now that you bought the dress?

@JLR1982:  You do NOT look like a cow.  However, having a sash of some sort might break it up a bit and draw more attention to your waist.  It also looks like you’re not quite standing up straight in either picture; good posture will also make you look better.  If you really don’t like it, though, can you still return or exchange it?

@JLR1982:  Hm.  I can’t see the sash at all.  I meant one that stands out more, maybe with bling…

ETA: I had something like this in mind:

@JLR1982:  you look FAB in your dress! I agree, get a blingy-er belt that you can see better!

and if you’re a cow, I’m a whale 😉
