Hello fellow bees,
I fell in love yesterday! I went out with a best friend/bm and my mom on wed to look for dresses and then yesterday my dad called me saying he was getting off work early and wanted to join my mom and I as we searched for more dresses.
I was imagining this dress hunt would take months (im not getting married until june, 2014) but even with my tight budget, i found it!!!!!
when i put on the dress, i just know. when i think of showing ppl i get giddy and when i think that it may be sold to someone else i want to cry.
its on sale and therefore the lady at the boutique said she’d put it on hold for 24 hrs for me so i called my other BM’s and Maid/Matron of Honor (sister) to come see it tonight before I officially buy it.
BM’s are thrilled and Maid/Matron of Honor thinks im insane for buying a dress so soon!
am I being too sensitive or do I have a right to be giddy and excited more than a year and a half out?!

Buy it. I think a lot of girls wish to have the feeling that you have right now.

I bought mine on the first appointment. Go for it! When you know, you know 🙂

If you love it now, and can afford it, buy it! But MOST importantly, if you do buy it, DO NOT LOOK AT MORE DRESSES. Once you have a dress you love, don’t keep looking because there is always something out there different and a possibly more perfect one but you already spent the money on one you love.

I think it’s a lil soon, but if you love it it’s all good! 🙂
Just try not to look at other gowns cuz u might have dress regret lol

I bought mine 11 months before my wedding. Go for it! Just follow the advice on here and don’t look at other dresses!
(Although to be honest, I’ve looked and I still think my dress is perfection!)

- Wedding: March 2012 - Pelican Grand Beach Resort
It’s a little early, but not soooo much that you shouldn’tduty it if you are sure.

@chasesgirl: Exactly this. Don’t look at more dresses. 🙂

I bought mine about 18 months before our wedding (which is exactly one year from today). I dont really care that much about the dress. And actually, I had very specific requirements. So when I found a dress that looked good, met all of my needs, and was in my price range, I got it and never looked back.

I bought mine at the first appointment, a bit over a year before the wedding. Who cares if people think it’s too soon? If you LOVE it, buy it.

I found mine in April 2011 and officially bought it in September 2011. The wedding’s June 2013. Yeah… But really, I still wouldn’t change my dress for anything! When you find the right one, hold on to it. BUT, you will inevitably have to deal with doubting, regretting and obsessively looking at photos of your dress for a loooong time. I’m just telling you this from experience. If you’re willing to chance it then I’d say, go for it!

I bought mine 14 months before our wedding. As long as you STOP SHOPPING after you buy it, everything should be just fine 🙂

Woohoo! Have a photo? Even a stock photo of it on a model?

Personally, I change my mind way too much to buy a dress that early. However, if you can see yourself loving it way in the future, then you should buy it!
