I have been to one or two in my life and I wasn’t really paying attention to the details that suddenly matter to me now that I am planning my own wedding. I wish there were a way I could just go be a fly on the wall at somebody elses wedding. I think it would be so informative and fun! If only it weren’t weird. Anybody else think this from time to time?

Like you, I’ve only been to few weddings as well. I would love to “drop in” on other weddings just to gather ideas!

I wonder if you could just go kinda creep on a wedding?? 🙂 Pretend you don’t have a venue yet and go to one when there is a wedding taking place…sometims they let you peek in and look around!!! Sneaky Sneaky! 🙂

Same here! And most of my friends are single too, so it’s hard to bring up wedding talk in the first place.
As horrible as it is, this is exaclt why I like to watch the show ‘Four Weddings’. Even though it’s awful that they judge each others’ big days to win a honeymoon, you see it all from big to small budgets.

Good to know I am not the only one!

Ummmm creep wedding photos on Facebook. I totally look when I see someone has posted photos of another person’s wedding they attended!!! LOL!

My venue suggested I “creep”. Every Saturday at around 2pm I go to two hotels in town that are wedding hotspots. One is my venue, so that is a bit less creepy I suppose. I just go in and take a peek in the ballrooms. I have gotten some really good ideas that way.

I totally creep people’s weddings on blogs and Facebook ALL. THE. TIME. It helps me from not wanting to crash people’s weddings. Teehee.

I’ve only been to two weddings as an adult so I feel exactly the same way. I’m not dumb, I know what happens at a wedding but I’d love to be able to go to a few more before my big day just to see it action. I also wish I had been a bridesmaid at least once, it would have been a nice experience.

I’m totally planning to ‘creep’ into a service or two! I have been brought up as a catholic so I know when to stand, kneel etc in the mass – that’s all completely natural to me. However, my Fiance is anglican and we are having an anglican service. I’ve beeen to church regularly with him, but I have never been to an anglican marriage ceremony. When do they stand? Anyone making the sign of the cross? I don’t know and I need to have it demystified before my own service! Thankfully, marriage services are open to the congregation and so I will be putting on some nice clothes and taking a quiet spot up the back! Not so much for inspiration, merely for the operational expectations!

I went to 5 weddings this year – after we got engaged – so I took every opportunity to check out all the details. You know what? I’ve found more inspiration online!
Seriously, I’ve found such creative and unique ideas right here on the bee! Fiance and I are keeping our little details under wraps until the wedding, most of which we have gotten from me reading the blogs here.

I am a facebook creeper all the way. I am really glad that the albums you view aren’t part of your newsfeed.
