I think that is a very cute idea and it’ll keep them entertained for a while!  Just make sure there are no knives involved!

As long as the work area isn’t too close to your party area.  What if there’s a mess.  Will it travel? Ex: glitter or paint? Paint on your table’s linens might not be fun.

If you just do crayons though, that wouldn’t be bad. You could do a whole Halloween theme for the kids.  Put stuff for them in those plastic jack-o-lanterns to do.

My little one would love that and I’m sure so would the parents (we always stress about our kids making a mess and bothering people). Do you have a teenager that is coming to the wedding that you could pay to watch the little ones? You could get plastic bibs and a plastic tablecloth for them and let them eat finger foods and color and play with pumpkins. hobby lobby actually has their halloween stamps on sale (2.33 each) and in the kiddie arts and crafts section they have these really large stamps for 2.47.  i would send an email or simple invite to the parents or include an enclosure letting them know there will be a fall decorating station for the children.  you could also let them cut out leaves and paint them or make ghosts etc.

Arent you only having like 5 children? That’s too few to worry about it. Also, aren’t they really young? I remember something about them being so young that you didn’t think they needed their own meal?

Ahh this has disaster written all over it… It is a cute idea but maybe not necessary… Plus kids will be painting and carving pumpkins so many other places. Maybe you could have them do a “design your own mask” get those half masks (you know, just the eyes) and get sequins, colored puff balls and marker pens for them to decorate. That could be fun!
