- Wedding: April 2016
But I finally got a time line for when my proposal is going to happen. Finally. After spending months trying to get him to admit that he wants to get married sooner then later, I was able to express my desire to be married to him very soon. As in under a year.
We’ll be going to my hometown for my dad’s 50th birthday in Feburary of next year and I told him that it would be the perfect time to ask for their blessing, so I could have my late summer wedding and not have to wait till 2015. I told him my ‘perfect’ timeline (engaged on my birthday in March, wedding around July/August/September 2014) and he finally realized how… much sense I was making.
We’re not finacially right now in the place to plan a wedding, as I don’t currently work (I’m a full time student), but I’ll be working this summer, in my field, making almost as much as my SO makes currently in his own job, and we’ll be able to not only improve our current life style, but save for the wedding and our marriage. And the impending immigration, which we might start early, but that’s another story.
So even though it’s a year away before I can offically start planning, I’m so just thankful to finally have talked real time lines and not just “in the future”. And there’s no real point to this, aside from FINALLY knowing when I get to be his wife!
