When do you take off your ring?
I’m curious about you ladies and if you remove your ring to wash your hands, apply lotion, cook, sleep, shower, etc.
I’m paranoid that if I take it off I will lose it but at the same time I don’t want to get hand lotion gunked up in it, etc.

Put moisturizer on my hands. Or when I’m cleaning my rings. But that’s it!

I take off my ring when I’m working with Fondant, bread dough. Other than that it’s on my finger ALL the time.

I take off my ring when I put on lotion
And sometimes when I am cooking something like meatballs where I’ve gotta get my hands in it.
For showers, bedtime, swimming etc. I just leave it on. It is a bit looser since it’s winter, but not so loose that it’s ever come close to slipping off.
If you’re worried about losing it, you could keep ring holders around the house in places you might take it off. I have one in the kitchen by the sink and one by my bed.

I take my ring off when:
I shower
I work with raw meat
I am kneading bread dough (or other dough)
I take my e-ring off and only wear my wedding band when I horseback ride.

I take my e ring off when I:
Shower/get ready
Sleep (it’s a higher setting, and I’m afraid of banging it around)
Put lotion on
Cook/bake (especially raw meat or kneading fondant or dough)
Clean
Wash dishes
Hang out just around the house
wow… it seems like I don’t wear it at all! I really only wear it when we go out.

I only take it off to clean it or if I am cooking something really messy. When I first got it I would have to take it off some nights because of the way I sleep it would poke me in the face, so I would keep it in the box by the bed. I am used to it know though.

dishes (fear if it slipping off and going down the drain)
cleaning (ex-boss was cleaning and the ring started to look dull and color looked like it was rubbing off)
working with raw meat
that’s pretty much it

I take my ring of when I:
am at work, cooking, cleaning, showering, putting on lotion, washing my hands (unless I’m in a public restroom), sleeping, swimming, or gardening.
I wear it when I am out of the house, and usually when I’m working out or running. I have a particular place that I put my ring when I’m not wearing it so it won’t get lost or fall down the drain.

Sometimes when I’m putting lotion on (if I’m somewhere I know I can take it off and it wont get lost.)
When I go to bed.
When I am cleaning with chemicaly stuff.
Sometimes when I’m washing gunky dishes.
Usually if I’m doing something like working with dough (or meatballs, but I haven’t done that since being engaged.)
When I go workout or run.
ETA: that’s all engagement ring. I have never taken off my wedding ring.
