Hello everyone! I have been dress shopping for a while now but I think I am ready to say yes to the dress…
Feedback (even unfavourable feedback!) appreciated. So far only my mum has seen this dress as I found out after my friends had given up looking with me!!
The jacket part of it was one size too small so you can see the zipper at the back is straining here (!) but I’m thinking of fixing this by ordering it in one size up and then just having it taken in where needed, probably just at the waist.
Also because my wedding is in the dead of winter (August in Australia) I thought I’d try and see what the faux fur looked like with just the dress. I’m not sure if I would actually do this but just for fun =P
Thanks for looking bees! Xx

Beautiful!!! What designer is this??

the dress is gorgeous on you, and i love toppers with that style of dress. that said, that particular topper is not my favorite – i just think the stripey sequins? crystals? look kinda cheap. love the *cut* of the topper, so if you love the fabric, then go for it. that’s just mho – i prefer a larger lace.

Thank you bees!! Very good to hear everyone’s views on this.
I am going back to the shop today to try it on one more time and just make sure.
The tag said “Mon Amour” but I couldn’t it anywhere online unfortunately!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually wanted to be “shiny like a disco ball” as I told my mum went we first started looking =) I can see why this wouldn’t be every bride’s dream (!) but for me I actually like slightly cray cray stripey embellishments.

haha, fair! you do you (:

The dress itself is STUNNING! Only thing that I’m not liking is the white cuff on the sleeves. But thats completely just my opinion.

I love the dress; the lines are so clean.
The topper is a bit of a miss, just as another PP said. I think a lace one would be a great finish to this dress. As for getting married in August, I think the fur might be a bit too much. You could probably get away with a satin jacket and not freeze.

Thank you bees!
I was thinking of looking in to a satin jacket as an option, I might try one on with it today just to see what it would look like. Thanks!
Our average high in August is 12 deg C so I am really worried about being too cold, then again I will probably be so excited I won’t feel the cold anyway! I will probably wear the jacket for the ceremony then put on the glitzy topper for the nighttime reception.
I really appreciate everyone’s thoughts, good and bad, it helps me to see it in a different light and check whether I still love it (I do!)
