A little background info:
My fiance and I are both very thrifty. Neither of us likes to pay full price for clothing and we both find amazing deals. I was convinced I would do the same with my wedding dress, so I started shopping early to give myself time to find a more expensive dress used.
I’m not getting married until May 2017, so I have plenty of time!
I went dress shopping on Saturday to get a feel for what I like, and I think I found my dress. It’s an amazing price and I would absolutely buy it new, so finding it used isn’t even an issue anymore. It’s so comfortable, really flattering, and just gorgeous in person. I absolutely adore it.
I was completely convinced it was the one, until my fiance (who hasn’t seen it) and mom both said something along the lines of “Well, you found it awfully fast. It was at the first store you tried. Maybe you should keep shopping around a bit before you decide.”
I’m worried that will confuse the heck out of me though, but they might have a point. I still have months before I really HAVE to order.
What do you think??

Gorgeous dress and looks amazing on you. If you feel like it’s the one, don’t worry about how quickly you found it!

If you’re happy with it, you’re happy with. You look stunning in it…gorgeous dress. I think it really comes down to how you feel. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on…I mean, I tried on others before buying it, but came back to it because I loved it so much. And I’ve had zero dress regret. I still love it! But plenty of women on here do, so it depends on how you feel.

The dress us beautiful! But your wedding is almost a year and a half away and if you buy too far in advance you my get dress regret because you will see new collections come out and ypu will question your decision… so I woukd keep it as a possibility… and just keep my eyes open between now and say November… unless you are 100% certain this is your dress…. and if you were i dont think you would be asking our opinion 😉

Thanks everyone! My plan as of now is to step away from the dresses for a month or more, go back to the store, try it on again, and if I’m still in love with it and have no second thoughts, then I’ll buy it and not look any further. If I’m at all uncertain, I’ll keep looking!

You can keep looking, but when you decide, and buy, then STOP looking.
That dress is beautiful btw!

It’s a beautiful dress and absolutly stunning on you. Personally, I don’t see a reason to keep shoppng if you feel you’ve found the one. The first day I went dress shopping I found one that I loved and so did everyone with me. Everyone just kept saying “This is it!” but something held me back from saying yes. I went to another shop a few days later and when I found my dress I knew it was the one. I tried on a couple more that we already had in the dressing room but I knew that one was it and I didn’t have any hesitations.
I think you know when you’ve found the dress and when you know there’s no need to keep looking! The whole point of dress shopping is to find a dress you love, if you’ve done that then you are done 🙂

rachelavb: It may confuse you, but I say go for it. You have plenty of time! You’ll never truly know, IMO, unless you try on a few more. And if it’s the one, that will just solidify it. I say that b/c I thought like the 4th dress at the first salon I ever visited was the one. Took a while to convince me otherwise but I’m so glad I realized I was settling and there were better dresses out there. Ended up getting an amazing dress I love much more. You’ll eventually have to stop looking and place an order, but if you’re not under pressure, I say take your time and shop around to be sure.
