I ordered my dress (Maggie Soterro Adeline) in ivory 8 months ago. It finally came into the bridal shop where I bought it and its a lot lighter than I remember..looks more white than ivory. I called the store today because its all I can think about and the girls assured me it is ivory and it is identical to the floor model dress. Now I think I don’t like the dress at all. I am confused 🙁 I am thinking of selling the dress and buying a new one-still lots of time until my wedding.
Also, dont mind the wrinkles-the dress just came out of the box that morning and still needs to be steamed (they dont steam it until the day before the wedding)
Can I get some honest opinions on this dress on me? I had to cut out my face incase my fiance or someone somehow finds this post, I don’t want to be recognized and give away the surprise incase I do keep it.

Oh, I think it looks gorgeous on you. Seriously, the waist is very flattering, as is the bust line. Your arms don’t do the weird thing in the arm-pit that mine do where they get ugly creases (sorry, this really bugs me when I wear certain dresses!!), and I think the color looks really nice.
I totally understand dress regret – I had it too! But you look seriously beautiful in the dress. I love it, and I hope you keep it!

I love it. I think it’s natural to second guess yourself, but that’a really all I think this is, you look fabulous.

Girl, I LOVE that dress. It looks AMAZING on you.
That said – if you don’t love it, you should find another if you’re able to. You should feel amazing in your dress as well as looking amazing.

I like it, I think it’s normal to have some dress regret after you first get your dress in. It’s not as magical as when you first picked it out and for me the big thing was that the fit of the sample that had been tried on a bazillion times was so much better than a brand new, stiff dress. I’d sit on it for awhile before considering any changes.

It looks amazing on you, and definitely not too light. If it were me, I’d keep it.

Well thank you all so much. My mother also told me its normal to have some “dress regret” as there are soo many beautiful gowns in the world. I bought it in the first place because the girls that were with me (3 bridesmaids & my mother) all said it was made for me and none of the other dresses I tried on compared at all. I just hope I love it on my wedding day. I appreciate the feed back, I feel a bit better now knowing other people dont think it looks terrible on me!!
Thank you!! 🙂

You look gorgeous in this dress! I tried this dress on when I went dress shopping last year. I looked at my photos and it looks to be the same shade as yours (sample dress was ivory). The color will look even more toned down once your in your reception room with dim lighting. Love it … you made a great choice … don’t doubt yourself!

I think it looks great! It’s definitely not stark white. I think it looks great with your skin tone.
