I’ve been reading a lot of posts and responses, and am hoping for a little bit of guidance here. Thank you in advance for helping me along!
I struggle to make decisions…fiance generally has to narrow it down to two options for me to choose between. Obviously, he can’t help with this. I live very, very far away from my family and friends, so I have basically been goin’ it alone – which is causing me a lot of stress since I don’t have any sounding board.
I purchased this dress: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/white-by-vera-wang-vw351023-any-real-life-photos-please/#axzz3DdEZE8ke
I want this dress: http://www.justinalexanderbridal.com/wedding_dresses/8720
I can’t find the Justin Alexander anywhere. I’ve literally called every shop on the website within an eight hour drive, and I can only find a size 14 (I wear a size 2 jean). Beyond that, it won’t ship until after my December wedding. So, I think I can’t have it…any other venues I can research to try and find this particular JA dress? ::sigh:: Without having ever put it on my body, I’m afraid to order it even if I can find it.
That brings up the second concern. Is it going to swim on me? I’m “ruler” shaped. I have a tiny waist and I’m small up top. My family is rather conservative, so the trumpet and mermaid are very flattering (maybe in another life I can be a bridal model…what a gig!) but probably not appropriate. I also like this (http://davidtuteraformoncheri.com/wedding-dresses/213247/) in all ivory.
I love the Queen Anne neckline (the JA is like an elaborate halter), and I like the sweetheart neckline. I’m afraid my gown looks very young with the straight top. I’m not going to wear the illusion piece, although I’m brainstorming straps etc. Can I pull off a sweetheart with my little boobs? Will that look even sillier?
I have an appt w/David’s Bridal on Friday to see if I can find something else that will work for me. I’m so tired of looking at gowns. This is not fun! What the heck! 😉
Thank you, ladies!
