Okay, I have finally narrowed things down.. I think. I finally asked him if there were specific things h wanted for dinner and he said he wants a strawberry salad and a new and different kind of quiche but not just those. He also said he doesn’t want a huge dinner so I have slimmed it down and I want your guy’s thoughts.
Is it too much? Does it flow reletively well? What do you guys think? This is our first married Valentines and I want to make sure to get it right!
Would it be better to skip the chicken all together and just have the Quiche be the main dish with the salad as the side? Or replace the soup with the quiche and keep the chicken.
Tomato-Basil Parmesan Soup
Panko Crusted Chicken Stuffed with Ricotta, Spinach, Tomatoes, and Basil
Strawberry Avocado Salad
And a small- heart shaped (just to be cheesy) Gorgonzola and Apple Quiche

I am coming to your house for dinner! Sounds delish. The quiche AND soup may be a lot of food but who cares because they both sound amazing!

And I didnt see your q, but I wouldn’t lose the chicken 🙂 if you drop something I’d lose the soup and put the quiche as an app, then a simple veggie side.

@MrsWrangler: The more I think about it, the more I realize just how much that might work! One less dish to make is always a good thing!

@Mrs Hedgehog: Yea, I adore soup (and that looks fantastic) but we aren’t having an app because I just won’t have time to make it after work lol. Keeping things a littler simpler sometimes ends up better and less stressful making it all turn out perfect!

@MrsWrangler: Anybody have any idea how to make a heart shaped quiche? lol

You would need a heart shaped pie pan http://www.pastrychef.com/HEART-SHAPED-TART-PAN_p_1227.html

Everything looks delicious! I showed the pics in this thread to Darling Husband last night, and he was very impressed that some women actually offer to cook for their husbands — and not just expect to be taken to dinner — on Valentine’s Day! 🙂

@Mrs Hedgehog: Haha nope, can’t say quiche is really my forte. Am considering cutting my filet mignon into heart shapes though (jk, my husband would be upset to waste meat :P)

Sooo… what time is dinner? 😉

To make a heart shaped quiche you’d likely have to cook it in a heart shaped dish. I know that most home stores sell them this time of year for a decent price 🙂
