Well I think you shouldn’t freak out just yet.  When did they tell you the dress would be ready?

have they sent pics as well?  if you’re in regular contact, it should ease your mind a little at least! =) i can empathize with your feelings, of course, but i think there are just certain risks you take when you order with such businesses.

I just did a little bit of google research for you, and it look like they’re legit! I found several different websites with people talking about them (and I checked to make sure they were real people, and they definitely were). I think you’re good!

Just wait two weeks and see what happens…but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. There are some very talented seamstresses out there who want to do more than alter a product which is already made. I think its awesome you are giving your business to an American company, instead of perpetuating Chinese sweat shop labor (I felt pretty disappointed when my Maggie Sottero turned out to be made in China).

The fact that you are getting regular updates shows that they are professional, which is always a good sign. You’re already half-way in, at this point I would just try and sit tight and wait for the finished product. If it turns out bad you can cross that bridge when you come to it! I hope you don’t make yourself sick with worry, I do the same thing!

I think you should wait until it gets here.  You may be worried for nothing.  It seems like they are pretty good, especially if they are updating you weekly and are in contact with you.    I know $380 is a lot of money, but in the grand scheme of things wedding related, it’s a smaller expense, especially compared to the designer dress you want.  Don’t freak out until it gets here.

I bought my dress from a store and I STILL worried. any time i called and didnt get an answer I’d be inwardly panicing that the store closed and went bankrupt or something and that I wouldnt get my dress, so its normal. try not to stress yet 🙂

If it is of any consolation, Priscilla of Boston forgot to order my wedding dress.  I called them two months later because I forgot when it would be in, and they checked and realized their mistake!  I eventually got the dress, but just wanted to let you know that there are some risks everywhere.
