I have scrapped quit a few things I have done in the past year to get ready.   Most turned out well, just not really what I wanted in the end.  So, I sold most of them online and took that money and got the stuff I really wanted.

Oh no, not the pmanders!! Haha, all that hard work. But definitely good to take a step back and take a look at the big picture, and definitely 4 months in advance (wow, 4 months already!!)

I know just how you feel. I just redid my poms. I had 7 huge ones. Now I have 10 smaller ones, and my card box, well, let’s just say I want to smash it everytime I look at it. Everyone else loves it, but I can see every flaw, so I am more than likely going to do something else.

awww, that’s sad! I loved your ribbon poms 🙁

Is there a place you could hang them at the reception instead?

If you have a head table, could you hang the poms along the front of the table for some extra “pizazz”?

See my problem is I keep buying things and now they sit in a closet. I purchased little trees for my seating arrangements… scratched them.. little frames, i attempted pomanders… all the stuff for it.. yep in a closet. It bothers me so much I get these ideas and then im stuck with the merchandise. I cant imagine spending so much time on something and then pitching it LOL

I keep buying stuff as well. Some things have been completed but I kind of wish I went the pay someone to do it route for a lot of it….

@ccrane – totally! I labored over this guest book with individually stuck on little corners for polaroids to slip into. Yeah, I didn’t even consider that it’d be annoying and less fun to put in the book – i should have just done that when i got home! now i have a bunch of great polaroids, but i’m never going to use that scrapbook that i totally outfitted for polaroids, it’s bulky. Oh well, live and learn! Don’t be ashamed to scrap DIY just b/c you spent a lot of time on it. If you burned a burger to a charred mess, you’d throw it out and start over, or just eat the sides and a dessert instead.  Sometimes EDITING is the best DIY haha.
