So I was supposed to get my period on the 29th. instead i got very light bleeding that was light pink mucusy looking then today (31) it was brown and now it quit. The thing is though, I dont have most early pregnancy symptoms such as nausea and breast tenderness, but I do have fatigue, I have to pee alot, very thristy, headaches, a little backache and sense of smell ( I always want to smell garlic lol),, I dont know if I should take a test or when.. Advice?

@brid32bee: I believe you asked this in another post. I would say just take the pregnancy test. It may or may not be too early, but I would just do it.
ETA: If it is negative, then consider taking another one in a week or two.

@brid32bee: Go buy a test now and pee on it! If AF is late, it should be accurate.

Take the test! Just because you don’t have morning sickness/breast tenderness yet, you could still be pregnant! Everyone’s symptoms are different, and many women don’t get those symptoms until much later than you would be right now. I’m sure it’s driving you crazy, so I would just test!

Take a test. That’s really the only way to know if you are pregnant or not. If you had implantation bleeding, they say that a test should show up 2-3 days after it starts, so would maybe be positive by now. If not, then I would test again tomorrow morning first thing when you wake up with the “first morning urine.” Also, if you test today, it’s better to try and hold your pee for 4 hours and not drink a ton of liquids so if there is hCG in your system, it’s more concentrated.

@brid32bee: I know, I have had a few pregnancy scares as well, but that fact is that you are either pregnant or not. Would you like to know sooner or later? Not being mean, just asking. You could wait a few weeks, but it seems like you might obsess over it. Knowing one way or the other will give you some relief (even if it is not what you were hoping for).

@brid32bee: I didn’t get nausea until 10 weeks, and lots of people get it after 6 weeks or not at all, so I wouldn’t write it off for that.
Just take a test.

I had NO early symptoms besides a slightly heightened sense of smell and I didn’t really think anything of it. I didn’t suspect that I was pregnant until my period didn’t show up. I got a very clear positive test the day after my period was due.
I’d take a test now (use a FRER) and again in a few more days if it’s negative.

@brid32bee: If your period doesn’t show, try again in a week. My positive would only just show when I was a good week late (but was obviously there), then at two weeks the test line would come up instantly and way darker than the control line.

I took the test and it came up negative, then i started to spot a little, so i put a liner on again.. when i went to the washroom to pee, and when i wiped my spotting color was dark brown and my liner was dry. so i think i will try again next friday.

It sounds like your period was just light this month. I normally have a heavy period but one month in the beginning of college I had just what you described. The nurse at the health clinic said it still counts as a period
