Alright ladies, I am a regular poster here , but am too embarassed to post under my original name.
So for the past 2 months my period has been very wacky. February I bled for3 days , then 10 dats later bled for another 4 days. Then 2 weeks ago I bled for 2 days and that’s it. Well that 2nd day it was very ligth and me and my Fiance had unprotected sex, assuming that since I am on my period I was not ovulating and could not get pregnant.
Well, since we have had sex I have not bled again one bit. I am kind of freaking out, we are getting married sometime in October or November ( don’t want to give myself away ) and I have a fitted dress. Also I have a very young child and did not want a kid for at least 3 more years. I am graduating school this summer but wanted to go on for my bachelors before I had another kid. On top of all that I have a family member that is very very close who is 4 months pregnant and I don’t want to steal her thunder.
Reasons why I think I may be pregnant other than just a sense of impending doom that wont go away:
I am bloated and have had odd twinges in my lower abdomen . and this is where it may be Too Much Information – My CM has been on over duty, last time this happened was throughout my entire pregnancy ir right before I start my period – who is MIA as of right now , my breast look swollen and right before what I thought was my period my breasts leaked what looked like breast milk. NO JOKE. I looked it up on the internet ( I know not so smart ) , and it said that that is not a sign of early pregnancy , only late pregnancy , but it’s sign of a hormone imbalance . I am scared my hormones are out of wack , I was ovulating while bleeding and got knocked up. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both have come back negative, but I dont think if I got pregnant 2 weeks ago if it would show.
I have a doc’s apt. today and my nerves and stomach are shot, but I am still freaking out and need to hear what other people think .

If you got pregnant two weeks ago, the twinges in your lower abdomen would be unrelated. Too early to feel anything. Could those twinges be light cramps?
Have you had a wacky period in the past, or is this completely out of the ordinary?

I think if your period has been irregular it’s hard to predict whether or not you’re pregnant right now. I mean, you’ve had 2 periods 2 weeks apart, it’s not likely you were going to continue on having them every 2 weeks anyways. Going to your doctor to get a blood test and talk to him about your irregular periods sounds like the perfect solution!

@futuremrshc: Completely out of the ordinary. I usually have a period every 31-33 days and will bleed for 3 days, stop for 2 days and then spot for another 3 days. I know it’s an odd cycle but it’s always been consistent. And the breasts leaking thing REALLY has me freaked out. WTH, I stopped breastfeeding a year and a half ago!

I would go see your OB/GYN.
Even if it is not pregnancy you should figure out what is up with the MNIA period..have you been stressing more than normal lately (and by more than normal I mean EXTREMELY more?)
Also, the areola has little ‘bumps’ that are actually glans that secrete (laymans terms here) ‘boob lube’ that helps in latching & BF’ing. The secretions are commonly expelled/present during late pregnancy or post pregnancy (ie: when you are actually BF’ing a LO) but the secretions can actually be expelled at any time if you are ‘fertile’ with the right amount of hormones or pressure. And yes they are creamy/clear just like boob juice (breast milk).
Hope you figure this out!

The only real way to put your mind @ ease would be to 1) get a blood test for pregnancy and 2) visit your ob/gyn and explain what you told us. This is way out of our league. (Good luck!!!)

How did your Dr. appointment go?

My best friend went through something like this, with the swollen breats, weird periods, and then the lactating and she finally saw a doctor when she started lactating and she wasn’t pregnant. It was actually a hormonal imbalance and something to do with her brain. Not to scare you but it may not be pregnancy if you’re lactating. I’m glad you’re getting this checked out. Have you gone? What did they say?

I went through the same thing about a year ago and I was convinced I was pregnant. Turned out I had high prolactin levels due to a small tumor on my pituitary gland (very normal) and it made me lactate slightly. I have been put on meds to regulate for the past year and have just gone off of them and am back to normal (finally).
