i just went to brand park( memory park) and visted community center. It was beautiful there . They had gates to enclose my guest in the venue not the park and give me privacy from others. the garden next to the center was reat. it was shady and had lots of landscaping. Perfect outdoors for the ceremony, nice size room for the reception and a nice place to take all of my pictures! it Has my top three out of five. The next best thing is that i can bring in my own food. The worst thing about it, it that i have to use a their service for alcohol.
Has anyone had a wedding here. Did you have to get premits from the city? were they easy to work with? any advice or picture ?
Let me know

Will at the community center is very helpful. When I was there, he actually pointed out where the bar and food could be served. Another good thing is that they have tables and chairs ready. The community center is actually pretty new, I think less than 2 years old. I was going to have my wedding there but my Fiance and I decided on a smaller wedding. What i loved about that venue was the gazebo.
Of the two vendors that sell alcohol, i realized that Mike @Suneris was actually a better value. You don’t need any permits for the city but you do need to bring everything in. One word of advice, do not work with Closer to your dreams for your table covers/tablecloths. I requested a quote and she said she was going to be back to me but never did.
Good luck! It’s a great venue. Wish you the best!

@misssnedeker: Are you sure its in mission hills? I know a brand park in Glendale/Burbank area which is increidlbly beautiful.
You should check out tropical paradise in camarillo. It’s a fairly new venue. We just booked our date. It’s an incredible venue if you want to have your wedding outdoors.
